I Don't Bother Anymore - I Just Delete the Listings

When items that I have been selling for years suddenly require compliance documents, I just delete them. It's just not worth the bother anymore.

Still, I only just realized that it would be a good idea to keep a list of these items so I don't inadvertently relist them at some point in the future.

Is there any way to go back and find a list of previous items that I deleted that had these compliance issues?

Maybe you find something in your "Performance Notifications"? Or in "Policy Compliance" in "Account Health"?

I feel your pain. If would be nice if we could talk to knowledgeable live humans at Amazon.

Don't forget to keep images of these products as well for when Amazon retroactively requests compliance documents.

I completely agree. I just delete as well.

HOWEVER, always go back and look at your items. Amazon's restrictions on items are a moving target. I don't know if they expire or if they need to be renewed by a brand owner and they get missed. but, I have gone back multiple times and I have been able to bring products back from the dead.

Also, don't forget to look for multiple packs. I must have a hundred items that are restricted on the single item but I can sell the two or three packs all day.

We were selling a photo to hang on the wall of crayons. I must have filed 50 appeals explaining to Amazon that it's not actually crayons we are selling. They just kept requesting for us to have a 3'rd party test and make sure a picture that goes on the wall is safe for children lol. I just deleted the listings. Not worth the headache as you say.

We have had a few products removed for "compliance" issues and provided all the documentation that is 100% FDA compliant. Amazon support did not understand, even with over 100+ email exchanges back and forth.

At least AI can't be any worse.

Unfortunately, no. Amazon doesn’t provide a report or history showing items that were deleted due to compliance requests. Once a listing is removed, those warnings usually disappear with it. You might find bits and pieces in old Performance Notifications, but it’s hit or miss. Going forward, keeping your own list (or closing listings instead of deleting) is really the only reliable option.

You could go back and retrieve an old inventory/active listings report if they go back that far.

Hello @Seller_fES06yRlGgMc4

Thanks for posting on forums. Unfortunately, there’s no way to retrieve a list of items you’ve already deleted due to compliance issues. Amazon doesn’t maintain an accessible historical record of deleted listings for sellers. Refer to the following page for more details:

What you can do:

  • Check your current Account Health and Manage Your Compliance dashboards for any remaining compliance issues

  • Look through old Amazon emails/messages for compliance notifications that might list product details

  • Going forward: Keep your own spreadsheet of any items you delete due to compliance issues

Let us know if you need any further assistance we'll be happy to look into it.
