Not a verified purchase - Targeted by competition

Hello guys,

We received many many product reviews which are ''Not a verified purchase''. All of them happened on the same day and are all 1 star reviews which makes it obvious in my mind that it's a competitor. On top of that, they are all products in the same category and they are quite similar and we just launched with no review. All of the sudden, all of them, 1 star reviews, not verified purchases.

Is there anything that can be done to remove them since they are ''Not a verified purchase''.

Thanks for your help, any advice on how to deal with this would be appreciated.

Black hat attack. Sadly, Amazon provides no help when this happens. Someone is selling what you sell, possibly under another brand name and they don't like your listing

I have collected at least 5 cases of 1 star reviews from different items sold that are from 'Not a verified purchase' to be reviewed by an internal team. Most of them were pulled from Case 13142101321. The team should get back to us within the next few business days. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon

Good Afternoon @Fournnnn - I am glad we were able to get a few of those reviews removed.

At this time one of the best ways to report suspicious behavior is through the Report Abuse link that can be found through your Account Health Dashboard in the upper left hand corner.

You can also report to Selling Partner Support to see if they can get the customer review looked at internally.

Lastly, you can write on the forums like you did in this case. I'd recommend the above two options above are done first so we can escalate the evidence you have provided from the first two teams.

When you do escalate through the Report Abuse tool or Selling Partner Support, please add as much information and details as possible so the internal review teams can thoroughly deep dive the situation. Information such as the ASIN affected by the review, a link to the review, why the review might be abusive etc...

With that being said, this case has shown us that there is room for improvement with this process and we are working on taking the feedback you provided, along with the additional investigating I did so we can hopefully make things smoother for all parties next time, so thank you for your contributions.
