Sessions down dramatically 2025 vs 2026
All of our listings were in Handmade for the last 8 years. Sessions are down 50%-60% when I compare the last 6 months to the same months in 2025. Needless to say, our sales are way down also. We're spending so much on PPC, but the needle just isn't moving. Any ideas of why this could be happening and any creative solutions?

I have no solutions.
It's the result of the Handmade category being all but eliminated. Our listings are now mixed in with millions of other listings, whether they are close matches or not. Try asking the AI bot seller assistant about it. It will detail all your poor views and sales stats for you, it sounds rather panicked when it makes the summary, rightly so.
Here's one AI bot reply from one of my "discussions" from earlier in the year:
Systemic issue following Handmade reclassification (Aug-Oct 2025). After correctly updating 874 ASINs, sales declined 57% (March YoY) and traffic dropped 53% (3,376 to 1,580 views). Handmade products in generic categories (Office, Automotive, Accessories) now compete with factory-made items. Searching “Handmade [product]” buries legitimate handmade items on page 3+ while factory-made take over page 1.

btw, the bot didn't actually say "take-over" page 1, but the actual word wouldn't get through the filter and the forum bot deemed it inappropriate language, it rhymes with calminate.

Hi @Seller_7jVQoA4NMQONY,
Thank you for sharing what's been going on with your Handmade business.
First, let's diagnose what might be happening:
- Search Suppression — Listings may not be appearing in search results due to missing images, incomplete product data, or quality issues. Search for your ASINs directly on Amazon to confirm they appear in results with an active "Add to Basket" button.
- Listing Visibility — Even if your listings are active, verify they're showing in the Featured Offer placement and that all required product attributes are complete.
- Review your Business Reports — Check your Detail Page Sales and Traffic report to identify which specific ASINs are seeing the decline and whether it's a traffic or conversion issue.
Besides the things mentioned above, if you'd like direct assistance investigating a potential account-level issue, I'd recommend opening a case with Seller Support so they can look into your specific situation.
Best Regards,
Ken

it only comes down to 3 factors:
1. Listing conversion rate
2. Traffic
3. Market
if your session/impression is stable but sales is down = conversion rate = fix your offer
if your session & sales is down = traffic (probably not this, because you are spending a ton on PPC) = fix your seo+ppc
If your BSR is stable but sales going down = it's the market = nothing you can do
