Read onlyI make personalized custom handmade items. Products are sold in the US. Shipments are sent from Europe. I am a FBM handmade seller.
With the new rules from September 25, 2024, I don't see a way to adjust my shipping settings. It's becoming impossible for me to continue. Amazon considers processing time to be handling time. If I have a difference of more than 2 days, the system will set itself to automatic handling time.
I have set a processing time of 8 days for each product, but I ship the products when I make them. Actually much earlier.
Because I process the orders in 2-3 business days and my transit time is 5-9 business days. But if I set in Amazon that I ship from Europe, then the delivery promise is about 40 days. So I can't sell. The system was supposed to change the transit time after 10 deliveries, but this did not happen. After about 15 deliveries there was no change.
For this, I set up a US shipping address on my shipping partner and enabled Shipping Setting Automation (SSA).
Now even SSA sometimes puts 2 days for delivery and adding my 8 days processing time gives true delivery time. If Amazon forcibly activates automated handling time on my account for 2 or 3 days, then I have no idea how to adjust my shipping settings. The delivery promise will be 4-5 days from placing the order by the customer. And that can't happen. The problem is that the processing time for handmade products is actually the handling time for the Amazon system. If, in addition to processing time and transit time, there was a separate handling time that I could set to 3 days, it would be nice.
How do I set up my shipping settings if I sell custom products in the US but ship from Europe?
Can anyone help me find a way to resolve this issue?
