Is there a way to set up FBA returns to come back to us for inspection? We have many defective/worn/incorrect items being returned to our inventory. Causing an inflated return rate and upset customers.
We pay to have it inspected but the ATTENTION TO DETAIL is not there. For example a customer will return a necklace for a defective clasp and amazon will put it back to our inventory...
Hi @Seller_IoqKS6j8cPXMF,
Dominic from Amazon here, unfortunately this is not an option. FBA orders are returned back to Amazon and Amazon will do an inspection. If Amazon categorizes the item as unfulfillable then you can request a removal order for those items.
Best,
Dominic
After item returned to FBA Then you can have item returned to you. You have to do this for each item. A return charge on top of that is charged also.
This is a great idea. We have the same problem selling guitars. The worst part is if someone returns a guitar to FBA it probably isn't packaged properly, and then it gets shipped out AGAIN and then returned AGAIN just to have it returned to us weeks or months later. FBA returns going straight back to us would save a lot of money and headache and would allow for better quality control on amazon
One should control their own business and not let others run their business
Amazon will use algorithm to check on sales and if this is fast moving item Amazon will start selling and close your listing with any excuse
Fortunately, Amazon has just given us an option to do this! If you go to Settings (the gear in the upper right corner of seller central) - Fulfillment by Amazon - FBA inventory evaluation setting (it should have a big new blue NEW badge by it) and click on the Edit button, you'll get the chance to choose to have all returns sent back to you:
I chose this option last week when it first became available, and can confirm that all returns are now being marked as unfulfillable and should be returned to me. I also have struggled with perfectly good items being returned to me while broken crap was put back into general inventory. It's worth it for me to make sure that all items in inventory are actually in "new" condition, so I'm happy to see that Amazon is finally giving us this option after years of pleading for it.
You cannot. You cannot even ask them to return all returns to you.
Just another reason we stopped using FBA.
People would by our more expensive product and return a cheaper one.
Who ever was checking them in could not tell the difference between a pack of seeds and earrings,
And they always got the refund. With us doing it, we can file a saf-t-claim and get the money back.
