PRL exemption not working, template ends up blank after a day

we are trying to request PRL exemption as our return labels are hit with insane over fee's on UPS, but we have a contract with UPS and FEDEX that eliminates overages..

Every time i upload the template correctly, it stays active for a day, then i request the report and the PRL file is empty the next day.. and then we get a return today and of course UPS charged us 40$ for a return label that i can buy from FEDEX for 15$... this has to end.

WE have a returnless resolution template uploaded for our samples, and that is working.. but the big issue is the PRL exemption, we have the capability and the need authorize all returns and issue our own label.. this worked for maybe 1 day and now back to amazon giving away free money to customers. we are not enrolled in amazon customer service... can you please look at our return settings.. we have it set for us to provide our own RMA #, and to provide a NON paid label to customer.. the area where i can upload a label is not there anymore..

CASE ID 17101951941

thanks

Did you receive a (temporary) exemption from the prepaid return label program but then it reverted?

Information on the process and requirements for SKU-level exemptions can be found in the below help page:

Prepaid returns for seller-fulfilled orders

Do these items qualify as "High-value items (price exceeding $100) that need special shipping (for example, items that require special shipping insurance)"?

What is happening.... Every report i request, even PRL, with the correct file name.. it pukes back the return less resolution / free return template.. it is not allowing or accepting the PRL template, but when i download the template, it is populated with the return less info..

KJ, Seller support's reply is ridiculous.. no where does it state ALL US sellers have to use AMAZON to issue return labels unless shipping an obscene sizes package.. we ship a TUBE!!!!!!!! and UPS, the ONLY provider of returns marks this as oversized and special, thus we get hit with a massive charge and adjustment to 40LB weight when the item weighs 5Lb average.. this is THEFT.

and all OUR ITEM SKU'S ON THE TEMPLATE ARE OVER 100$ I SPENT 4 HOURS PREPARING THE TEMPLATE...

ALSO, WHY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH WOULD AMAZON FORCE US TO PAY PUBLIC UPS RETURN RATES when we have OUR OWN RATES 90% less.. this is THEFT.... our packages are OUTSIZED and should be exempt..

WE should have the ability to issue our our labels, NOT AMAZON... we are LOSING HUNDREDES OF DOLLARS an order, on these returns.. huh?????

a 30$ order results in a 40$ UPS LABEL, and a 30$ average adjustment.. who the F is going to pay this nonense, if one can mitigate with out own labels.

and i do NOT appreciate the last item saying, IF THE CUSTOMER RETURNS SOMETHING THAT IS NOT THE SELLERS FAULT, amazon deducts the return costs from the sellers refund,. this is NONSENSE, as the customer NEVER uses the correct return reason... insane.. i am DONE WITH THIS PLATFORM.

this was the last straw, i want a REASON why US sellers cannot issue their own labels for returns??? UPS is price gouging contracted customers, and amazon is benefiting with a rebate..

WHY SHOULD WE PAY $40-100$ FOR A RETURN WHEN WE CAN GET IT BACK TO US FOR 15$ ...WHY

TELL ME WHY.. pathetic

Hello @Seller_KcEtz9Bkb8qhY

Our partner team reached out to you in Case ID: 17125255531 to share updates about your efforts to receive SKU exemptions for prepaid return shipping labels. They will also use that case to request further details from you if needed.

If you believe a return reason is incorrectly shown as seller-faulted and the return shipping label cost should be withheld from the refund, that can be done through the SAFE-T Claim process. You can read more about that process here:

KJ, do not disrespect my knowledge..... if you THINK WE DO NOT HAVE the brain to file a useless SAFE t claim, then i think you need a new job.

The disrespect is absurd.. we are a $100m a year B2B business, AND BEEN AROUND FOR 50 YEARS, and you are trying to tell me things i don't know..

AMAZON'S POLICY'S ARE ABSURD AND you did not address any of my issues.. WHY THE F SHOULD WE PAY AMAZON RETURN RATES WHEN WE HAVE OUR OWN RATES? and amazon allows absurd returns.....

what is pathetic, you addressed the only nonsense feature of amazon... the fraudulent return policy... every single claim related, are denied. "they dont like the color" .. they mark it defective. ITS NOT DEFECTIVE. BOOM WE GET CHARGED.. only because the customer cannot read, did not order sample, and treated our STORE AS TRY BEFORE YOU BUY.. this is not OUR BUSINESS

AMAZON ENDED TRY BEFORE YOU BUY, YET WE ARE STUCK WITH THIS HAPPENING AND WE LOST NEARLY 20K$ LAST Y EAR ON RETURN FEES

Prepaid returns for seller-fulfilled orders

Amazon provides buyers with prepaid return shipping labels on behalf of sellers through Buy Shipping services.

Several categories and subcategories are automatically exempt from prepaid return labels, such as handmade and extra-large items. Sellers can also request exemptions from prepaid return labels for high-value items (price exceeding $100) that need special shipping (for example, items that require special shipping insurance).

Beyond these exceptions, sellers can't opt out of the program as it is currently set up. I passed along your suggestion that sellers be able to use linked UPS account rates for the program.

Again, i have read this same thing about 20x now.. repeating dosent make it right fair or just.... and the warnings i have got for what? being honest? this is a forum?

ALL OUR ITEMS ARE OVER 100$ but when we get a return on a 30$ item and UPS charges up 75$ for return shipping, I WANT TO PUKE IT IS LEGALIZED THEFT.

i personally know Jeff, he is the one who approved our store to begin with. I met him in an elevator in Detroit about 10 years ago, and told him i had 10 miles of fabric i need to sell.......and whala.. here we are...
