Hello @Joey_Amazon
If you could please help me with this order. I reviewed the information you provided regarding Buy Shipping Services, but it seems only you know the parameters surrounding protected shipments qualifications.
Order ID: 112-1592234-0891413 Issue: Package didn't arrive
Order Summary:
Ship by: Fri, Nov 29, 2024 PST
Deliver by: Wed, Dec 4, 2024 PST to Fri, Dec 6, 2024 PST
Purchase date: Wed, Nov 27, 2024, 1:29 PM PST
Shipping service: Free Economy
Delivery Information:
Fri, Nov 29, 2024, 11:18 AM PST: Package left the shipper facility
Fri, Nov 29, 2024, 11:15 PM PST: Package arrived at a carrier facility (First Scan)
Wed, Dec 4, 2024, 7:00 AM PST: Package is out for delivery.
Wed, Dec 4, 2024, 11:15 AM PST: Package delivered.
USPS Tracking number: 9300120111412137784041
This item was shipped and delivered on time using an Amazon BUY SHIPPING label. Therefore, since this is a claim related to a "package not received," if a refund is granted, then according to Amazon BUY SHIPPING policy, Amazon will cover the cost of the refund with no impact on the seller's account.
@Joey_Amazon
The decision made after providing all the evidence to Amazon's Customer Team was:
Why is this happening? The customer reported an issue with delivery. In this case, the tracking information indicates delivered, but the customer did not receive the package. Because you provided sufficient information that proves the order was actually received by the customer, we will not count the claim against your Order Defect Rate, but will debit your account for the amount of $32.07.
@Joey_Amazon, could you help me understand how I can provide proof of on-time delivery, tracking information, use a BUY SHIPPING label, and meet all of BUY SHIPPING criteria, yet I am not protected against claims that the BUY SHIPPING label offers?

Just buying the shipping from Amazon isn't enough any longer. You also need to have AHT and SSA activated as well.
Happened to us. It's meaningless protection.
Yep. They've just taken $100 from me as well for an order that's marked delivered. The customer is just ticked it didn't come on time due to USPS messing up. They also returned a customers shipping cost I hadn't refunded because they filed an A to Z claim AND dinged my ODTR for it.
They are reminding me daily why we need to close down our store. Business can't continue on with a partner that is constantly taking cash out of our pockets.
That's not what the policy indicates. AHT and SSA only need to be activated to protect the OTDR. Buy Shipping INR protection only requires buying the postage through Amazon and shipping (carrier origin scan) on time.

For Claims Protection: Amazon Buy Shipping shipments qualify for A-to-z and SAFE-T claims protections against "Package didn’t arrive" claims when all of the following conditions are true:
The buyer was reimbursed by Amazon for not receiving their package.
The shipping label was purchased with Amazon Buy Shipping and was a "Claims Protected" shipping service. The "Claims Protected" badge will be displayed in the Amazon Buy Shipping user interface before purchase and in the order details page Shipping label purchase section after the label is purchased. (Note: "Late Delivery Risk" labels are ineligible for protections).
Note: Based on Amazon's observation of millions of shipments, we have a high confidence that "Claims Protected" shipping services will deliver on time. "Late Delivery Risk" shipping services are those that, according to Amazon’s estimated delivery date, have a lower chance of being delivered on-time for the specific order.
The order was shipped on time, which will be considered at the moment of the carrier’s first scan, not when you confirm shipment.
When all of the above conditions are true, Amazon will fund the buyer reimbursement and the customer-reported claim will not be counted against your order defect rate.
That's always been the case, even prior to Buy Shipping when it came to signature confirmation. You may have to appeal or open a case to get a bad decision reversed. But this is the policy as it's written.
Hello @Seller_Q1zWpNLmGQka1,
Thank you for being a part of this community and taking the time to make this post. Also, thank you to @Seller_Iq8G0IA7I69uO and @Seller_wnc1pjYEF5ZqF for chiming in on this thread an providing valuable feedback for other sellers to see later on.
@Seller_Q1zWpNLmGQka1based on the information you have shared, please allow me to touch base with our internal team regarding your claim. I will post here any new findings.
Sincerely,
Joey
Yes it's total rubbish. The only reason they say Buy Shipping will protect you is they make money off shipping.
I am no longer buying the Amazon koolaid with seller services - they do not support sellers at all.
The last straw was with an order that required signature and I used buy shipping and it was thrown back at me and I lost money.
Amazon needs to clean up their act in many areas as you well know from strikes going on.
Shipping service: Free Economy
Most likely this is why. Amazon does not cover Free Economy and also other premium shipping services.
@Joey_Amazon
I just wanted to say thank you for looking into this. It had to be you giving this a second look or suggesting it be looked at again, in order for the decision to be overturned. I appreciate your time and effort.
