Read onlyHI, I was wondering if someone from Amazon can help me. Apparently I didn't weigh my item properly even though I have sold around 100 of these stuffed animals and have never had a usps carrier adjustment. I weighed and measured this items properly and I receive an email about being charged $88.40 by usps because they weighed the item at 40lns which is totally and utterly impossible. This is a stuffed animal.
USPS Base Postage charge: In this case the weight you entered for this order was [1.0 LB 11.0 OZ] and the carrier audited weight for this item is [48.0 LB 27 OZ].

Therefore, the billing charges in question are considered valid according to the carrier’s billing and surcharge policies, and Amazon does not reimburse Sellers for chargebacks due to carrier's dimensional weight, package size, package handling, or other policies. Hello @Seller_YhjAa0taekhh6. Thank you for sharing the details about your recent carrier adjustment.
Carrier shipping correction charges
The carrier-audited weight of that package can be either the actual weight or the dimensional weight.
Dimensional weight is a calculation of the volumetric weight of a package, using the package’s length, width, and height. Carriers will use the greater of the actual weight or the dimensional weight when charging for shipping.
Were the package dimensions of your shipment audited at a larger size than the original label?
post.Good luck with this. You will continue to get charged these outlandish rates and Amazon will not help. They will only give a message saying the same thing. Truth is carriers can charge adjustments but the amounts they are charging, the rates, are ridiculous and should be investigated smh. Good luck
