Read onlyJust one more day that I came to work with a head full of things I was going to do today.
I can deal with business being slow. That comes and goes over time. And today wasn't even one of those days where I deleted listings and listed the products elsewhere because it wasn't worth the hassle trying to document for Amazon that the products aren't "violators". Nor was it one of those many days where I gave up trying to fix bad listings. I don't do that much anymore either. I'm now offering less than 1/2 the number of items on Amazon that I was offering a few years ago.
No, again today the sense of futility kicked in with the dump of returns by UPS. The fraud and the lies suck the life out of me. The "denials" of SAFE-T Claims add to the drain. So instead of trying to get somewhere with Amazon, I'm going to go home and work in my vegetable garden. Hope you're having a better day.
That's a good idea. Yes, there are days like this. :):)
I suppose Amazon makes Billions of dollars a year off of the fraud and theft perpetrated by thieves and scam artists. They make the money off of us honest sellers. We get mugged and amazon keeps a percentage, like mobster debt collectors. If they stop all the crooks and con artists and swindlers and cheaters and people kidnapping our hard earned inventory from buying, (The buyer is always right and the source of ALL Amazon income), then they lose the source of this ill gotten gain.
Each day and night an army of bag men and women spread out across the Amazon platform searching for victims, for those with a possible weakness in their business model, and with the help of Amazon, they plunder the weak and unsuspecting.
I have been selling books on Amazon for nearly 25 years. I have had very few problems with crooked buyers, only a handful have slithered into my store. But I read the Seller Forum and the hue and din and cry that has thundered across the Amazon platform is deafening and never ceasing. It's heartbreaking to see and hear the cries of the honest business person in the clutches of our unresponsive Master/Partner, Amazon.
For many years I have refrained and held my tongue from outbursts such as this. I have always been proud to be an Amazon partner. I'm 70 years old now and think it may soon be time to also go home and work in the garden.
Good luck to all the honest sellers and and a pox on the scum
Same here! Amazon has went downhill drastically! I've been doing this business for almost 10 yrs and Amazon see's there sellers as an inconvenience these days.... There seller support is absolutely the worst. Support is simply there as place-holders to give you a pat on the back and canned answers that have nothing to do with the issue at hand. I know more than most of the customer support agents in almost all cases over the phone. Tickets don't get responded to and when they do reply to a case, 9 out of 10 times it has nothing to do with the concern at hand, just a 1,000 page bible policy they expect you to read and find an answer too. Just round and round the mary-go-round for what should be very simple issues to resolve. AI can tell me more than customer service ever could. Besides that, the traffic to our hundreds of listings have all but dried up. Back to EBAY as Amazon's new algorithm launch a year back or so has devastated our business model. Used to get between 30 - to over 100k sessions a day and now it's down to 500-1k sessions per day if we're lucky.... There is absolutely nobody to talk to! Amazon is all about making more money and pushing away the sellers that have made them successful in the first place. I could go on for days! I'm going to go play in my garden and watch the crazy world burn to the ground and get ready for when SHTF, lol
I think all the honest sellers should consider taking a spring break! Selling on AMAZON is at least as stressful as finals week in college and it doesn't end!
I am taking the time to upgrade to windows 11 which required a new refurbished computer as the old one originally was running windows XP (SEVERAL upgrades ago)
Godspeed. Amazon sucks everything from us and kicks us to the curb. No matter how many of us leave their little platform there will always be more to take our place and that is a gigantic bummer.
Do what makes you happy and spend the rest of your time boycotting Amazon. That's what I do. If it were up to me, the company I work for would have been off Amazon a decade ago. Maybe one day.
I feel your pain. It is the same with most of us I think. I haven't even contacted seller support in years because it is an absolute waste of time. Amazon has abused us and there is nothing right about how they conduct business. Funny I don't have any of these issues on other platforms. I think they are intentionally pushing us out without directly pushing us out. I've been saying it for years and I was always shot down but the writing is on the wall folks.
I feel for you! All us 3P Sellers experience some level of this...plus throw in all the hurdles that AMAZON puts us thru. Makes me shake my head many days!
