Why does Amazon think UPS Ground Saver will arrive faster than UPS Ground sometimes?

I notice that sometimes Amazon says that UPS Ground Saver will arrive faster than UPS Ground. They sometimes say I can ship by UPS Ground Saver and the shipment will arrive on time, but that it will arrive late by UPS Ground. This obviously makes no sense as UPS hands the package off for delivery to the USPS which takes an extra day. (The estimate that Amazon provides for UPS Ground is also often incorrect and shows the package will take a day or two longer than UPS shows.) You would think that Amazon could afford to hire better programmers.

Doesn't make sense to me either. But we have also gotten 3 different delivery dates for USPS Priority, USPS Priority Cubic and USPS Flat Rate.

Hello @Seller_DdmPiA1p1S2Wu

Our partner teams work with carriers to monitor shipping service performance and provide accurate delivery estimates to sellers and buyers.

These signals sometimes return information that may seem counter-intuitive, or may not match what is shown on the carrier website.

If you share a Case/Order ID or other details I can ask our partner teams to confirm that information.
