FEE HELP

I'm a first-time seller, and I've been selling for a few months now. I just generated my first "inventory sold" report, which includes a lot of data, such as product sales, selling fees, and FBA fees for each item.

My question is about the $39.99 fee: Is this fee already included in any of the categories on the report, or is it separate? I want to deduct all expenses to calculate my net profit, but if this $39.99 fee isn't already included in the report, I'll need to subtract it separately each month, which could add up over time.

Amazon sort of throws that Pro Fee into the mix once a month.

Using FBA, you are doing business backwards, and Amazon designed it that way.

Using FBM selling you are in control of your profit. You know all the fees associated with each sale. Amazon only charger one commission after the sale is made, and you know that up front before the sale.

Using FBA, you are not in control of your profit, by Amazon's design. You know how much you paid for the product, but all Amazon fees are deducted from your account whether the item sells on not. Thue, you have to raise your offering price next month to cover last month's expenses. If you don't, you may make no profit at all. This is how Amazon makes a large portion of their profit off of FBA sellers.

Never take your eye off of the desired profit you are expecting to make.
