I am a new seller whom recently set up a seller account and have never sold. my account was deactivated and i was told that my account may have been hacked and i have been found to be related to an account beginning with Wholesale Direct Software. to get a police report. iVE NEVER HEARD NOR EVER BEEN ATTACHED TO THIS NAME. then i was told that it was a problem with the website and IT WASNT ALLOWING AMAZON TO GIVE THE OPTION FOR ME TO SUBMIT THE POLICE REPORT. THEN I WAS TOLD THAT THEY ARE RESEARCHING AND WORKING TO FIX THE ISSUE. MY ACCOUNT HAS NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS AND IVE NEVER SOLD ANYTHING. CAN SOMEONE LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE AND RESOLVE IT. IM NOT GETTING ANYWHERE WITH THE PHONE CALLS. I WAS TOLD BY AMAZON THAT MY ACCOUNT WAS HACKED. THIS IS VERY CONCERNING IF THEY KNOW THIS AND A. WONT TELL ME WHO HACKED IT B. HOW WAS IT BREACHED. THEY KEEP TELLING ME TO WAIT FOR A REVIEW COMPLETIONS. IF i "have been FOUND to be related to an account beginning with Wholesale Direct Software." SEEMS like a review completion to me. it's VERY CLEAR TO ME THAT IM GETTING THE RUN AROUND. ALL THE WHILE IM LEFT TO WONDER HOW MUCH OF MY INFO HAS BEEN COMPREMISIDED AND IS AMAZON COVERING UP ANYTHING. ALL I WANT WAS A ACTICE SELLER ACCOUNT. NOW IM NERVEROUS AND WATCHING ALL OF MY BANKING AND PERSONAL INFO AND I STILL DONT HAVE AN ACTIVE ACCOUNT. AGAIN, IF SOMEONE FROM AMAZON TELL ME THAT MY ACCOUNT WAS HACKED, THAT MEANS THAT THEY ARE AWARE BUT LEAVING ME IN THE DARK AS TO HOW TO RESOLVE AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME ITS SOMETHING GOING ON WITH THE WEBSITE AS TO WHY THEY CANT ACTIVE AN UPLOAD BUTTON SO I CAN SUBMIT THE POLICE REPORT. THEEN LASTLY, SOMEONE CALLED AND SAID NOT TO GET THE POLICE REPORT BECUSE THEY WILL RESOLVE THE ISSUE. SOMEONE IS EITHER COVERING THERE self OR JUST GIVING ME THE RUNNING AROUND. DO I NEED TO GET A LAWYER? WHATELSE IS GOING ON HERE.

In reviewing the information and the several calls you made. You mentioned in one of your calls, you felt your account may have been compromised. If this is the case, please do follow up with a police report if you feel that is what happened. Please be assured, your Selling Account is secure internally. If you have concern with your bank or other outside service provider, please do follow that up.

Related Account issues are sometimes frustrating to deal with. I also agree that there is not an appeal path showing on your Account Health Page. There is an internal ticket opened to address that technical issue. You will still need to address the Related Account issue. Please review the following information carefully as it will help with your required appeals.

Comply with Amazon’s Multiple Account policy and Address a Multiple Account Policy violation These learning videos may help you understand a little more about your situation.

To address a Related Account issue, there are several different situations you may have, and each different situation has a different dispute requirement. In an effort to confirm you do not recognize the other selling account, here are the questions I would ask:

  • Do you have accounts in any other marketplaces?
  • Has anyone helped you before with your selling account in any capacity? If yes, What help did they provide?
  • Do you use any 3rd party service providers that assist with your selling account? These services may include account creation, inventory management, marketing, fulfillment, logistics, etc. If yes, What type of services did they provide?
  • Has anyone else ever accessed your account? Have you shared personal information with friends, family, or third parties?
  • Have you asked your employees or those close to you if they have an account with this name?
  • Have you helped anyone else with their account or provided services?
  • Have you noticed any unauthorized charges? Are you a victim of account compromise or identity theft?
  • Does anyone else have financial interest in your account, like an investor or loan partner?
  • Have you purchased inventory from another seller or business that partners with Amazon sellers?

By answering these questions, it may help identify the related seller. Keep in mind, there are signals that are connecting you to this other seller. For confidentiality purposes, we are unable to share specific details about how we identified the relationship.

You will need to explain how you could be related, how you broke the signals and be able to prove you are no longer related.
