Order Management - Cancellation Window
Hello Sellers!
We would like to bring to your attention a feature that allows you to change the window during which buyers can automatically cancel their orders. This functionality can be helpful in optimizing order management processes, as extending the cancellation window can reduce the need for manual intervention.
By default, buyers can cancel orders on their own in the first 30 minutes. After the 30 minutes window, buyers will need to submit a cancellation request for Sellers to review.

We encourage you to explore this customization option, as it can potentially contribute to increased operational efficiency by minimizing the time and effort dedicated to addressing order cancellations. - What is the Maximum time allowed for auto-cancellation window?
You can set the auto-cancellation window for a maximum of 72 hours after the order is placed
- A buyer contacted via Buyer-seller messaging asking me to process a cancellation. What should I do?
If the order is still within the cancellation window, you can instruct the buyer to cancel on their own by going to Cancel Items option located in Your Account > Your orders on Amazon. If it is after the cancellation window, and you have not shipped/confirmed the order, you can request the buyer to go into their account and request cancellation by going into Amazon account > Your Account > Your orders > Request Cancellation
- Would buyer auto-cancellations impact my Cancellation Rate metric?
No, buyer auto-cancellations within your set auto-cancellation window will not impact your Cancellation Rate metric.
