Did amazon just make a change this month to have all transactions be deferred? Every single purchase is now in deferred with classification of "Delivery Date Policy". Am i correct in assuming that no funds are released until after delivery date plus 7 days now? What is even the point of paying a 1.5% to get access to funds for invoiced orders if they won't actually be dispersed until the product is delivered lol
2024 is shaping up to be some of the worst policy changes for sellers I've seen in the last few years.

We have seen the same thing as of 10/1/24. Surprised that this is the only thread mentioning it and no other information is visible about this change. We too are looking for clarification on the change.

"Navigating Amazon's Delivery Date Based Reserve Policy"
Seems like they've been rolling this out in batches to all selling accounts over quite a long period of time.
I was hoping this was a glitch. Seems permanent.
Good luck with the new reality.
I don't have much to add other than I'm experiencing this with my account as well. All of my transactions are going into deferred transactions now. I honestly really don't care as long as I get paid within a timely fashion. However, some of these transactions have payment release dates all the way out to 3 or 4 weeks from purchase, which is absurd. Hopefully once the packages are delivered that changes?
They've apparently rolled this out to my account as well. Thanks for the heads up Amazon. Just doing things to our accounts with NO NOTICE, NO WARNING, NO Explanation. I just log in and it says "deferred transactions" now under payment for everything after 10/1. NONE of those are invoiced orders btw. All regular transactions.
Can a MOD please weigh in here on this change? Will the funds be available for immediate distribution once released?
I've been here 6 years and this is the absolute WORST time to be rolling out all of these changes on sellers. handmade is getting new categories, aht, ssa, otdr, and now THIS on top of it? If I wasn't stressed enough, now I have to plan to not be able to pay the bills at the end of this month too?
The fact that there is no prior communication about the release of this is very very frightening, the DOJ needs to step in and take a deep look at what has happened here over the past 10 months.
Only delivery date + seven?
I have some deferred transactions going out 7 weeks until I am paid.
Same here most of my transactions have " deferred payment " payment on some of these transactions 2 months out.
What are we supposed to do?
Account level reserve and now this?
Bills and other expenses still come in
I guess Amazon expects us to become magicians and make money appear out of the blue.
A week or two FINE!, but 2 MONTHS to get paid on some of my transactions.
COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS !
As always Amazon looking out for us.
thanks for sharing, I now have no money to pay my bills because over $20k in products got stuck with amazon. They are limiting us to grow, thansk amazon for giving us a hand🧐. Even payability is not getting any funds to advance., ridiculous move from amazon.
Even worst, we have a hurricane heading to Florida on Wed oct 9th, and we can’t prepare for it because we are of funds. Hopefully they change this at some point.
this is what I found :" We determine the exact number of days based on an assessment of your overall risk and historical performance "
I think this change is made to some sellers not all sellers , my return rate is over 15% I think that is why amazon make change to my account, because my store have bad performance or at risk?
Below is whay I found on amazon
Payments based on delivery date :
We typically reserve your sales proceeds until a certain number of days after the delivery date of an order to ensure you have enough funds to fulfill any refund requests from buyers. We determine the exact number of days based on an assessment of your overall risk and historical performance, with the default being 7 days after delivery date (“DD+7” policy).
I use FBA , why amazon make this change to my account ? I am confused
