Shipping Template FBM Not Applying the Configured Delivery Time
Hello, sellers!
I’m facing an issue with shipping templates for FBM. Every time I create a new Shipping Template or modify an existing one, the estimated delivery time displayed on the product listing is longer than what I configured.
I’ve set specific handling times and delivery estimates, but Amazon always adds extra days to the estimated time shown to customers. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a delay in Amazon updating the templates, or is there a hidden setting I might be missing?
I appreciate any help!

Hi @Seller_Q4N6jeIFRlkgj,
Let me share what I found in the help documentation that might explain this.
According to the "What is total delivery time?" section at Amazon Handmade: Best practices for fulfilling orders, Amazon uses this formula:
"Total delivery time = handling time + transit time + holidays and weekends + additional buffer"
For continental US shipments, there are some default minimums that might be affecting your estimates. These are outlined in the "Default transit times for domestic sellers" section at Default transit time.
If you're shipping to customers near your warehouse, you could potentially get faster estimates using the Regional Transit Time feature. You'll find details about this at Faster Regional Transit Time. This feature lets you offer 2-3 business day estimates for customers in your region.
