Warning: Possible Scam Targeting Sellers Who Post About Escalation Issues
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share this as a warning to other sellers.
After I posted about an FBA remeasurement issue, someone contacted me through Amazon Buyer Messaging / Customer Messaging and claimed they had gone through the same problem. They suggested emailing [Moderator Edit: removed external URL] at esc-amazon com and said it was an “Amazon escalation” contact that helped resolve their case.
At first, it sounded convincing because they referenced the same type of issue and gave very specific instructions. However, I later found the same message pattern discussed elsewhere as a possible scam/phishing attempt.
Please be careful if anyone contacts you outside official Amazon Seller Support / Seller Central channels, especially if they provide a direct email address and ask you to send case details, screenshots, or business information.
Do not click links, do not share login details, OTPs, bank info, or sensitive account information. If you already interacted with a suspicious email, report it as phishing and review your account settings.
I’m sharing this so other sellers don’t fall into the same trap. Stick with official Amazon channels whenever possible.

We had the same message from a "Kevin" using the same email address you mentioned. Made sure to report it.

@Seller_yDr0xcGgqck8l Hello there! Thank you so much for taking the time to share this with the community.
You're absolutely right to raise the alarm. Stick with official Amazon channels, and never hesitate to reach out through Seller Central Support if you're unsure about a communication, or if something feels off.
Thanks again for being such a great community member. Stay safe out there!

Hi @Seller_yDr0xcGgqck8l,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing this information. I did remove the name at the beginning of the information you shared, as I don't want other sellers to contact them. The email alias ending with esc-amazon is not a valid Amazon email and is a phishing attempt and needs to be reported through your account.
I appreciate you sharing this with your fellow sellers!
Regards,
Michelle
