Not Able to Create Campaings on Gun Belts

I hope you are doing well. I wanted to get some information from you regarding an issue we are facing. We are selling gun belts, and within the gun belts category, there are many belts that use similar keywords like "gun belts," etc. Previously, we were eligible to run campaigns for this product, but ever since our new stock arrived at FBA, Amazon is not allowing us to create campaigns.

If you or anyone else has faced a similar issue in the past or is currently experiencing it, please share your insights on how you tackled this problem and what solutions worked for you.

Thank you. I am also sharing the ASINs and the product link with you.

Hi @Seller_l3Ogt6MB7NTHa,

I had a look at your product and checked Amazon’s policy (link) to better understand what might be causing the ad restriction.

According to the policy, listings like “concealed carry holsters, belts, or straps” are permitted, but may be subject to geographic sales restrictions. The help page doesn’t mention advertising restrictions directly, but it’s possible those same limitations also affect Sponsored Products. That’s just a personal interpretation — not official policy — but it might be something to check with Seller Support.

Since ads aren’t currently an option, I took a closer look at your listing to see if anything stood out that might help with visibility and conversion on the organic side. A few things caught my eye while going through the page — just sharing in case they’re helpful to revisit:

  • The product facts (Product details) say “Made in the USA and Imported”, while also listing “Country of Origin: China”. That could create trust or compliance issues.
  • Image #2 shows a 3-step fitting process, but bullet point #5 mentions 4 steps. A small mismatch, but consistency helps.
  • Image #3 references “Secured Tip With Leather”, while the listing describes the product as 100% Nylon. Might be worth checking if that’s still accurate or left over from an earlier version.
  • Image #3 also includes the “60KG Fold Bearing” claim. Converting to pounds or briefly explaining the test conditions might make that more credible to U.S. shoppers.
  • Image #4 shows holsters attached to the belt, but there’s no note that they’re not included. A simple caption like “Holsters shown for demonstration purposes only” could help avoid confusion or returns.
  • In the A+ content, I saw the phrase “leather gun belt”, even though the rest of the listing focuses on nylon. Could just be a leftover wording from an earlier version.

I realize not everything may apply or be a priority right now — just thought I’d pass these along in case they’re helpful. And if you do get clarity from support about the ad restriction, I’d be curious to hear what they say — could help others here too.

Wishing you continued success with the product,

Michael
