Red Points Brand Protection Unethical Amateurs

Hello,

Has anyone had any dealings with Red Points Brand Protection?

Out of nowhere they file an ip complaint against one of my asins. I explained to them their so called AI platform made a mistake. My asin has nothing to do with their client. I sent them simple documentation for a retraction. I have heard nothing back other than they received my email.

I believe Amazon should blacklist Red Points. If the Red Points amateurs made a test buy they would have acknowledge their mistake. A foreign company, whose website has no phone contact and no resolution dept. should not be allowed to sabotage honest Amazon sellers.

If Red Points has harmed you please join me in filing a complaint against them with Amazon, the FTC, your state attorney general, and the BBB.

Please spread the word that these people can harm your family with bad AI software and put you at financial risk.

Thank you and good luck.

There's a huge issue with them - many lawsuits from Amazon to YT since they don't actually check with the brand to confirm it is counterfeit. It is all automated and (according to YT who use them) they weren't notified when people were being hit, including fellow content creators with permission to use their content in the terms of weather awareness and saving lives...which it was. RP actually tried to initiate wrongful lawsuits without the brand's knowledge, which could have been a mess with counter suits, failing to let the brand that hired them know any of this was happening.

File a complaint, but also look up other Amazon sellers who have sued them for this including defamation. They are just a rogue bot with too much power.

I completely understand the importance of IP protections, but they don't involve the IP owners before doing this, which creates a huge issue.

Reach out to the company they said you violated and let them know that Red Point has hit you incorrectly so they can try and redirect it. That has (from what I have seen) been most successful since RP itself seems rather self-run without humans involved.

Thank you for reaching out regarding the intellectual property complaint filed against one of your ASINs. I understand how concerning and stressful this situation can be, and I am here to provide you with the support and guidance you need.

To ensure I can offer the most accurate assistance and communicate with the appropriate team, please provide the following information:

  • Case ID
  • ASIN(s) being impacted

Once I receive this information, I will promptly forward your details to the review team. While I cannot provide a specific time frame for their review, please know that I am committed to following up daily and will update you in this thread as soon as new information becomes available.

I also want to provide some context regarding how these complaints are handled. Amazon prioritizes protecting both rights owners' intellectual property and our sellers from potential legal liability. When a complaint is received, we take a cautious approach to ensure all parties are protected.

This is why maintaining proper documentation for the brands and trademarks you list is essential. While receiving a complaint can be frustrating, having valid documentation readily available allows for a smoother and faster resolution process.

I appreciate your understanding and patience throughout this process. I look forward to hearing from you and working together to achieve a resolution.

The seller forums community and I are here to support you every step of the way.

All the best,

Casey

I had one listing removed after they flagged a single word in my product description that referenced their client. They filed a complaint and took my listing down immediately, alleging it was counterfeit without conducting any test purchase.

Ironically, their represented client sells Wiffle balls, while I only sell storage and organization products. I obtained that keyword by researching competitor traffic terms on a third-party tool, simply because I thought it was a high-traffic word that fit normal SEO logic. Before this issue, I even believed “wiffle balls” was a general term for ball products, just like “tennis”.

I now need to understand the proper reasoning and logic to appeal this complaint to Amazon official support.
