Non-Returnable Listings on Amazon

Although Amazon.com and most sellers on Amazon’s storefront offer returns for items within 30 days of receipt of shipment, some items sold on Amazon cannot be returned for safety or logistical reason. Here is a list of non-returnable items:

1. Hazardous Materials:

  • Items classified as hazardous materials.
  • Items that use flammable liquids or gases.

2. Devices:

  • Computer laptops, desktops, and Kindles more than 30 days after delivery.

3. Digital

  • Downloadable software products.
  • Open software.
  • Online subscriptions after you accessed them.

4. Cards

  • Gift cards (except as required by law).
  • Prepaid game cards (e.g. World of Warcraft, Xbox 360 Live, Wii Points).

5. Amazon Bulk Liquidations Store

6. Others

Check out our Return Policies for more information on the types of items that cannot be returned by customers.

Hello Quincy,

This is a great post. One question we have is if the product we sell is considered hazardous as once it is used by an end user there is no way for the toilet to be cleaned and resold. How would this product fall under this policy and is there a way to make the select few ASINs non-returnable under this policy?
