Repeated Listing Policy Violation
I am writing to report a widespread case of product detail page misrepresentation involving the systematic misuse of the Brand attribute across a large number of listings.
Previously, we submitted Case ID: 18043937571 under help section and we also submitted 2 more cases under Brand registry case section with case IDs: 18063879771 & 18068252021, but no action was taken. We believe the violation may not have been fully understood, so I am resubmitting with clarification on the forum.
Many listings are duplicates of popular listings. And listings present well-known branded products but list the seller’s name as the brand instead of the actual manufacturer. This misleads customers by making third-party branded items appear as private-label products. Also, gives sellers a huge advantage for sales because no other seller can list under seller's protected fake "Brand name". The seller easily manipulates pricing and product page details without any competition.
This practice violates Amazon’s Product Detail Page Rules, which require accurate and truthful brand attribution, and it raises concerns under the Anti-Counterfeiting Policy by obscuring the identity of the actual manufacturer.
The seller recently removed actual brand names from some of the listings as they got hit with suspected violations. However, they pay ads for actual brand name keywords so when customer's search items with brand names, even though seller's fake listings do not mention the brand name on the title, they are always on top of the search page with ads.
This appears to be a systematic misuse of Brand Registry protections and undermines customer trust, catalog accuracy, and Amazon’s policy standards. The seller is also committing another very big violation as they do tons of keyword manipulation..
There are so many red flags here but because the "fake brand of the seller" is registered with Amazon brand registry, amazon have been protecting them for years. During these years, they have been listings more and more listings and currently, I see more than 2,000 listings. If Amazon does not address this issue, they will keep added more fake listings on Amazon and keep making millions of dollars with this scam..
This whole set up is not just wrong but also showing all bad actors a perfect way of scamming amazon system and customers in very systematic ways. We are submitting this as a concerned observer and encourage Amazon to review the pattern of misrepresentation. Hoping that Amazon will make this right. Can you help @Sandy_Amazon?
