1st FBA shipment, is our packaging appropriate?

Hi everyone,

1st time Amazon FBA seller here. We sell rolling papers and other small items.

  1. Is the packaging in the attached images appropriate for Amazon’s requirements? I am unsure if the smaller bags are under what Amazon require size wise, but from what I’ve read we dont need a suffocation label on them.

  2. The larger bags are 19x19cm, so we thought we could put a product in them, then wrap the excess bag around a few times, then tape it shut and stick the barcode on. Once again, is this acceptable? I understand we would have to put a suffocation label on the larger bags.

Thankyou in advance!

Yes, your packaging appears to be acceptable.

I sell some small charms and kids jewelry, such as bangle bracelets and package them is the same way as you, with no extra bubble wrap or protection. I never experienced any issues.

I see a couple of problems with your packaging.

  • Poly bags must be completely sealed. Zip lock bags can open and are unprofessional.
  • The poly bag or shrink wrap must not protrude more than 3 inches past the dimensions of the product.
  • Poly bags with a 5-inch opening or larger (measured when flat) must have a suffocation warning,

The biggest problem is the lack of Suffocation Warning Labels. We use a combination of pre-printed bags and labels. We use these.

We would also never pack our charms and kid’s jewelry without proper protection; which includes Crystal Clear Resealable Polypropylene, and bubble bags.
