How to create a prepaid shipping label
How do I create a prepaid shipping label? Read the help, but apparently need to create the label first - don’t know how to do that.

You cannot create prepaid labels on Amazon unless you are buying shipping for a customer order.

- Create a shipping label to yourself.
- Insert the name and address of customer as the sender.
- Pay for label.
- Print or save a .pdf of the label.
- Send .pdf file to your customer.
- Explain to customer how to print the .pdf file and to tape it to your return package.

Ya, Amazon does not provide the option for purchasing a return label. I have a stamps account, I guess I just take the time to create a return label there, download it and then send to customer through Amazon. That is really inconvenient and time consuming.

No, but they have changed the routine on seller fulfilled returns and it does not seem to work correctly or there is no option to buy a return label through Amazon. I received a notice from Amazon that the seller wants to return, so I went to that order and clicked on “Authorize Return”, but no option to buy shipping label for them. I must be missing something.

It sounds like what you got was a buyer that contacted Amazon, told them they wanted a return label and that message was passed onto you. For those, I give them the option of the Amazon Returns Center OR to ship it to us at their expense to our address.
As @SUNDANCE said, you cannot buy the label on Amazon. The process is Buyer starts the refund through their Amazon Returns Center and are then given the option to use a pre-paid label.
Now you can go as was said up thread about buying a label and attaching it if that is what you want to do.
