Amazon auto refunded a order for general adjust safe t claim keeps getting denied help
discussion.hello fairly new seller only a month in. Ive been getting alot of "return request/refunds" amazon will auto refund some of them but usually I am able to issue them myself. For the first few I did until I noticed a pattern of anytime I attempted contact with buyers I received no responses and even though I paid for return labels they never sent the items back. This week though I had two refunds auto authorized by Amazon in the same day. Here's my problem this specific order was almost 60$ I paid 12.75 for shipping and was hit with a 16.75 shipping adjustment on top of this. So now im bout 90$ deep in the hole and Amazon just gave them a full refund with the reason being "general adjustment" what does that even mean? Now the bigger problem is file a safe t claim and I show the tracking info which shows that the order was delivered 2 WEEKS AGO! It was 2-12packs of energy drinks. If they were damaged I highly doubt youd wait two weeks to ask for a refund. Now I did try contacting buyer to ask if there was a problem with delivery only to find this buyer opted out of messages so im sol on finding out cause. Amazon denies my safe t claim for unreturnable item however I had just filed one a day prior for the same product and they granted that one so im not understanding their logic on that. Can someone shed some light bc all in all that order cost me alot of money.

Hello @Seller_CYMYI2kV3NkGP- and thank you for creating this post.
I apologize I am just now seeing this post, but I wanted to chime in with some resources you might find helpful in managing SAFE-T Claim scenarios. Including these best practices for filing and appealing SAFE-T Claims, our help page on SAFE-T Claims which does confirm that carrier adjustment charges are not included in the scope of SAFE-T Claims, and this page which walks through the protections offered by using Buy Shipping labels.
I hope these help shed some light on the SAFE-T Claim process, but let me know if I can help address any specific questions on the topic!
Thanks,
Danny
