Mine as well. I don't even hit 2% of the Buy Box Percentage. I used to be on the buy box 50% of the time. I tried everything I can. All of our metrics are great and we have SSA and AHT enabled. The only thing I can think of is our competitor is paying for ads and "maybe" that's why they're on the Buy Box 99% of the time which is so unfair. Every seller with *good metrics* should be rotated evenly in the Buy Box. I tried to open several cases and they always say that everything is working fine which in my case is not. I hope someone can help me with this issue. No Buy Box means no sale for us.

Amazon does not "rotate" the buybox. Fair or not, they will always give the buybox to the seller that their algorithms think offers the BEST deal to the customer. Yes, inventory, pricing, and account health play a huge part in that determination, but there are many other factors that go into it. Shipping location (this is a big one), shipping speed, account order quantity and frequency (the number of orders an account gets each day factors into the algorithm), return rates, etc. Even if your account is "healthy," another account can be "more healthy" and therefore offer a "better" buying experience to the customer, in the eyes of Amazon.

One thing that I think is forgotten too often is that Amazon is a business and they are a profit maximizing machine. Yes, the actions they take against sellers can be unfair, but they will always take the course that allows them to maximize their profits, which they do by making sure the customer has a good experience so they come back and order more. Yes, that hurts a lot of sellers. Period. I'm not defending it, i'm just calling it out as it is. As sellers, we just have to realize that this is the reality. If we keep that in mind, it becomes a lot easier to determine business strategy and when/how to file cases with Amazon.

We never get the buy box anymore on FBM even though all items have lowest prices and excellent health, your not alone. It looks like only FBA sellers are dominating the buy box. It was not like that last year, it would rotate daily to give good FBM sellers a chance. Now its strictly FBA in the Buy Box. Amazon is really fumbling the ball this year, so many problems. Our profit margins are slim and FBA would leave close to nothing plus all the issues that come with it, definitely not worth it for us. I have been seeing posts of sellers losing tens of thousands of dollars on lost inventory with pennies on the dollar reimbursement by Amazon, that is just crazy! FBA is like gambling in my opinion.

We have been focusing more on other platforms and slowly pulling out of here along with hundreds of other sellers, Amazon is snowballing downhill fast. Best of luck.

In June 2020, Amazon switched from a rotation Buy Box (which they'd had for 20+ years) to a preferred-seller Buy Box. Since then, not only is it possible for one seller to own the Buy Box, but that's how it's actually designed to operate.

Buy Box is used as a Suppression Weapon to stop and regulate sales by Amazon. One would also assume the other seller makes Amazon more PROFIT!

The buy box (called now featured offer) is an unfair business practice and used by Amazon as a punishment.

We had a listing that all of a sudden Amazon suspended demanding invoices that the product was authentic (regardless of the fact that we needed the manufacturer's permission to even be on the listing). Invoices submitted and Amazon at that time did what it was supposed to do - restored us within 2-hours.

Fast forward about 3 months and Amazon suspends us again demanding invoices. We resubmitted the invoices but this time it takes 2-weeks to be restored - but without the buy box even though we were the lowest price. What Amazon did was go to the manufacturer and make a deal to purchase the same product directly as we were purchasing. Now Amazon takes the buy box for themselves even though their price is $5.00 higher than our price per unit. So we are sitting on 1000 units because Amazon decided that they wanted all the profit.
