How to Sell on Amazon 104: 🩺 Master Your Account Health Dashboard

Hi Sellers!

Welcome to the final week of our Ask Amazon series — and we're wrapping things up with a bang. Next Wednesday, July 29th, we're hosting a LIVE Ask Amazon Q&A where you can get your Account Health questions answered directly by the Amazon team.

For this event, we also invited our experienced sellers back to provide you with real, actionable insights: Thank you for joining us @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9 and @Seller_l2tuBNz47Kj5c

Whether you're a brand-new seller or have been at this for years, understanding your Account Health Dashboard is one of the most impactful things you can do to protect your business. Let's break it down.

Best Practices for Navigating Your Account Health Dashboard

Your Account Health Dashboard (AHD) is your command center for understanding how Amazon views your account. Here's how to use it effectively:

  • Check it regularly — Make it part of your daily routine. Navigate to Performance > Account Health in Seller Central to see your current standing at a glance.
  • Understand your Account Health Rating (AHR) — The AHR is a color-coded numerical score that ranges from 0 to 1,000 and provides near real-time status of your account's health, letting you know if your selling account in a particular store is at risk of deactivation
  • Address violations promptly — When you see a notification, respond within 24 hours. The faster you act, the less impact on your account.
  • Monitor all sections — Pay attention to Product Policy Compliance, Shipping Performance, and Customer Service metrics. Each one contributes to your overall health.

📺 Seller University Resources:

Staying Compliant with Amazon's Policies

Policy compliance isn't just about avoiding violations — it's about building a sustainable business. Here are the key areas to keep on your radar:

  1. Product authenticity & condition — Ensure your listings accurately represent what customers receive
  2. Intellectual property — Respect trademarks, copyrights, and brand protections. If you receive a violation notice, respond with a clear Plan of Action
  3. Customer reviews — Never manipulate reviews. Focus on delivering great experiences that earn organic feedback
  4. Restricted products — Verify your products aren't in restricted categories before listing

📺 Seller University Resources:

💬 LET'S TALK — Engagement Corner

We want to hear from YOU before the live event:

  • 🔹 What's your #1 Account Health challenge right now?
  • 🔹 Have you used Account Health Assurance? What was your experience?
  • 🔹 What's one habit that helps you stay on top of policy compliance?

Drop your answers below — your questions may be featured during the July 29th Ask Amazon LIVE session! The team will be reviewing submissions in advance, so the earlier you post, the better your chances of getting a direct response.

These are great points!

I see threads all the time with people who see a yellow box or account violation and "freak out" -> which is understandable given that many rely on the income from this platform.

However, Amazon almost always gives you ample time to resolve an issue.

Best advice:

  • stay calm
  • react/reply without emotion, but with fact and logic
  • be honest with yourself and amazon

Amazon seller support and internal teams do not respond well to multiple cases/threads on the same thing nor do they to everly emotional rants or threats.

While the warnings may seem like overkill, they do that so people respond quickly so that accounts are not imapacted.

As my favorite author says over and over "DON'T PANIC"

Stick to your guns. If you find yourself with a policy violation or any other issue-keep at it. Appeal, create a case-do all you can possibly do. With that said, it won't work all the time, but it's your account-fight for it.

Getting frustrated is all part of this platform, and sorry Dougal, dealing with reps can be exhausting (especially when they don't understand what you are saying or trying to accomplish). Keep your cool, be precise and take accountability.
