Read onlyThis news article must have went under my radar.. seems they announced it just 1 month ago. But we now pay higher fulfillment fees for the 3 months of peak season. This new fee ranges from $0.19 for the smallest size tier to $8.51 for the largest (150+ lbs).
So just to recap, this year we've been introduced to the following fees:
- placement fee
- low inventory fee
- returns processing fee
- holiday peak fulfillment fee
I may have missed one, and technically some fees aren't new but things like inward FC shipments have doubled, the aged inventory fee starts a month earlier, and they are still tightening the requirements on the placement fee to force sellers into using AGL+AWD.
I say all this to rant, yes.. but also to encourage sellers to really keep their eyes peeled on Amazon's news articles. It seems about every month there is a new fee, or more strict guidelines on existing fees. Although most announcements are made without enough time to plan accordingly, it's best to catch it as soon as it's announced.
Good luck everyone!
Holiday Peak Fulfillment and Storage are not new, just fees fluctuate a little.
