SIX Days and NO SALES------What Happened?

Yes.......Another NO SALES post!!!! After 17 years of selling (books/media), I have never gone this long without a SINGLE sale (6 straight days).

I have been putting off saying GOODbye but I can't take it anymore. I'm not earning enough to pay the monthly PRO fee. If I downgrade, my chances of hanging around would be little to none. It's just not worth it anymore with the scams and all.

I guess my question is .......did Amazon make changes (in anything) that would affect sales? I had a very small burst last weekend but this week............................crickets........................................! Something has definitely changed.

I am sorry to hear this Fastmark! I actually had a sale explosion last month; it was better than DEC 2024. I had a very good day to start this month and an ok day 2, then it has been almost as bad as a disaster as you speak of! I added a lot of good listings and things were going as they should; then this 2nd tariff day came and an horrific jobs report (sorry, this is fact regardless of politics).

The only change I've noticed recently is the inability to look up 'other editions' from a listing detail page which annoys me as a seller and may curve buyers from finding items.

I'd like to think things can get better in the Fall, particularly since last Fall was my worst ever and Christmas was more like Helloween compared to a normal holiday season!

Amazon is a pretty highly manipulated market; they are always making changes to their search algorithm. Not sure what you sell, but older (out of print) products have been hit really hard recently; Amazon has removed many and suppressed others.

I will say that Prime Days always pull orders forward, so you get a natural lull for a few weeks after where sales are slower.

Amz "giving" us one sale a day. Usually we get 40 to 70 a week. We too sell books - and DVDs and CDs, as well. It's not simply the economy or the job numbers. Amz controls traffic, and they throttle sales. At any given time, many of your active listings are not even showing up online. You may see them in your inventory, however, amz is ghosting them in favor of other sellers. Ghosting and throttling: two huge problems on amz.

All media that Amazon can stream is going th way of the dinosaur.

Can you diversify?

I pulled all of my CDs because the few sales I got were Buy/Burn/Return with Amazon handing over refunds the moment they put the newly-unsealed CD back in the mail as 'defective'. Also Amazon squelches these products because they are selling streaming music. I moved it over to ebay, but sales are slowing over there these days as well.

I'm now getting bluray buyers that open the bluray, burn the special edition bonus disc, and return as 'no longer needed'. Amazon streams movies. They don't want physical media here.

I never sold books, but they have Kindle.

Consumer sentiment about grocery prices, etc., isn't helping.

Don't know if you do FBA, but a good while ago, I noticed that only FBA is really considered, and FBM is a by-the-way. We are not promoted or helped much. However, it is still exposure and can be considered as promotional. Just saying.... All the best!

I’m experiencing the same issue. I’m a small seller, and on a normal day, I can get around a dozen orders. In July, probably because of Prime Day, my sales went up to about 20–30 orders per day. But after entering August, the orders started dropping. I know it’s normal for sales to slow down for a while after Prime Day, but starting this week, the drop has been unbelievable. Before the 10th, I was still getting around 10 orders a day. On the 11th—0 order. On the 12th—just 1 order. And today, the 13th, so far—0 order again. I haven’t changed anything on my old listings; I just launched a few new products. My account health is perfect with no violations at all. I honestly have no idea what’s causing this.

Same, it's been 3 weeks for me. I have 2,000% more inventory this year than last year and I'm still down 15% in sales from last year. What happened? Did Amazon change algo? Something is going on. My inventory is 99.9% with amazon and I only had 1 sale today so far for a cheap $8, while I already had 3 on the Bay this morning worth $90. It's really off, Amazon. To think that I have been religiously listing on Amazon everyday, 10 to 30 items daily. Time to not list further on Amazon til I can see what's going. Waste of time for now.

Amazon has really stepped up their shadow surppression on some accounts particularly those accounts whose owners MAY or may not of donated to a particular political party allegedly. In short if you been active politically in your personal life its probably going to affect your amazon sales. Its not hard even for me to look up a brand find the board members/owners then see if they have made political donations so I sure amazon has the means and will to do this.

We are facing the same problem, which has been deteriorating since July....

Nowadays, there are a lot of advertising expenses and clicks, but there are no orders and nothing has changed.

But I don't know what happened here.........

We opened a case to consult customer service, but there was no actual answer.

We could feel that there were changes in some aspects, and the ACOS value had never been so high before....
