New 'Add a Product' page

Does anyone know if there is a way to set defaults on the new 'Add a Product' page? I used to have the FBM button as a preset, now I have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to select the FBM button before I can add my shipping template. The good news is that the 'List Price' is gone from the new page (at least until you have to edit a listing).

Interesting (no, I do not like the new page)

I have not been able to to anything at all with shipping templates in either the new Add page or the new Edit page. The shipping template is not allowing any changes -- set by Amazon at default and unchangeable.

The only way to change is through the main Manage Inventory page.

But on my next Add attempt I will see what happens if I first select the FBM.

I agree -- annoyed at having to check that every time.

I was about to ask the same question. The amount of useless information crammed into this page makes it very difficult to negotiate (and when you go back to edit it always adds at least one more required fill-in that's not there when you originally fill in the template), but having to select "I will ship this item myself" each time I add an item is irritating in the extreme!.

The new page is incredibly frustrating because of reason that you mention. The shipping template box (aka Merchant Shipping Group option box) only shows up if you scroll all the way down the page to first click on "I Will Ship the Item Myself" for the Fulfillment Channel option. So, not only do sellers have to now choose this option manually every time they list an item, they are now forced to scroll back up the page to choose the preferred shipping template.

It is another massive waste of time. Which could easily be fixed with design.

In the previous design, the Fulfillment Channel box could be permanently fixed to FBM, so that the shipping box was always available in the normal course of page scrolling while listing an item. Can the programmers please look into this and provide this option again for sellers?

There appeared to be a two step set of changes.

1. Reducing handling time to a day unless product is custom.

2. Reducing shipping transit times to minimum you experience over times. Eliminating sellers ability to control for any glitches through adding a day nwhen weather, shippers labor shortages, or just plain bad luck result in a delay.

As s small and long term seller we are very concerned. We take it this is part of the long term effort to force business into Amazons overbuilt and expensive warehouse and deliveryy system.

Good news for us is that most item we have to sell amazon has either deleted listings, suppressed , high pricing errors, blocked or allowed to be hijacked with refusal to fix so we rarely list anything anymore if anything our active drop at about 7 listings per week.

"List Price" is not gone, it will show up again when you edit your listing, I hate it.

I found a little work around on this. If I click on the Required button under attributes, the FBM button is right on top. After I click on it, I can click back to the All Attributes button and I am able to list normally. It's a little less of a pain in the butt than having to scroll all the way down and back.

That's actually bad news , since , your listing won't show up online .

Only when you go in later to Edit to find out what the problem might be -- you see that the "List Price" window is showing bordered in red .( as in needs to be filled in or else )

The fact that the List Price window purposely does not appear during the listing process is yet another middle finger by you know who
