Make Trading Cards and Sports Card FINAL SALE again!!

This has become a MAJOR issue these last couple of months as scammers are continuing to purchase items, take what they want from the packs, then return them completely opened and/or resealed. Amazon is just allowing the scams to continue by not making the TCG/Sports Card Categories FINAL SALE as they are supposed to be according to the Amazon Policies. It appears their backend is erroneously missing hundreds if not thousands of ASIN's and allowing these returns which ends up costing sellers a ton of money. I have spoken to MANY disgruntled sellers who are having the same issues with this.

One of the major issues is that Amazon is marking a lot of these items as "sellable" when they get returned, which then means the next person to get them will end up getting scammed and blaming the seller even though we have 0 control over this, this is an FBA issue. This should not be happening at all.

About 2-3 years ago, Amazon was implementing the Final Sale rule on ALL trading cards and it appears since then they have slowly "forgotten" to add the final sale label.

There are numerous scam groups specifically targeting the trading card category as they know Amazon is allowing returns for used items and the market for many of these cards has gone up.

Please put an end to this, a small business should not have to simply take a $3,000+ loss every month simply because Amazon forgets to flip a switch on an ASIN.

I have no problem providing a full list of ASIN's that need the label if need be. This cannot continue like this.

If an @Seller_nUXRIxpv1gT6F can please review this and escalate the issue to backend support that would be greatly appreciated.

As per the policy listed below under the title "Items That You Can't Return", trading cards are not supposed to be returnable and it seems like as newer sets are being released, the automated categorization/labeling of the items not flagging these for no return. I believe they are simply marked as "Toys" and therefore are not getting the proper labeling.

As a result, customers/scammers are abusing the system.

Today i spoke with Amazon support, and the lady said Amazon policy for trading cards is FINAL SALE NO RETURNS NO REFUNDS.

The problem is some of the asins are wrongly categorised as tabletop games This is why we see 30 days refund policy on trading cards.

Anyone selling trading cards needs to start opening cases and requesting that the internal team change the product type to :

Collectible Card

Examples include: Souvenir Sports Trading Cards, Collectible Card Game Booster Packs, Non Sports Trading Card Packs

As this is where the FINAL SALE policy applies

@Danny_Amazon Hi there! Is there any updates for this? The situation is getting worse and worse. A big problem is Amazon receiving back these returns (which are tampered with/resealed 99.9% of the time) then marking them as sellable so its listed back in inventory. Then the next buyer receives and marks as fake/resealed so it affects me as a seller because buyers think they got resealed/tampered product when we send everything 100% authentic to Amazon.

If I mark items to be returned directly to us based on ASIN (skip the Amazon FBA relist), then we lose out on reimbursement when these fraudsters return damaged product. But if we allow Amazon to inspect and relist items, then there is a high probability that they are not inspected properly (or they're resealed enough to hide imperfections) and the next buyer will be affected. It's a no-win situation.

Implementing the no return policy as it's supposed to be for Trading Cards and Sports cards will help deter the fraudsters. Please help us get some traction on this. As I stated previously, I am willing to go through every single ASIN to help you identify which ones need the label if need be.

Has there been any updates on this? Amazon has had the benefit of having this sticker, yet everyone else is stuck allowing returns and forget about losing thousands a month, I have had seller steal thousands an order:

Additionally, products listed as "Final Sale" are non-returnable and non-refundable, including trading card games, specific discounted items, and items sold in the Amazon Haul store that are $3 and less.

Hello,

On October 1, 2025, we introduced Final Sale return policy for collectible cards sold through Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA). This change helps protect both you and customers by clearly indicating to customers that collectible cards can’t be returned before they make their purchase.

Final Sale products are non-returnable and non-refundable, with clear notifications displayed to customers on product detail pages, cart, and checkout.

This policy applies to Collectible cards. Collectible cards will be automatically classified as Final Sale based on their category attributes. You can't opt in or opt out of this classification. If you believe a product is incorrectly categorized, contact Selling Partner support.

Orders placed before October 1, 2025, will follow current return policies. No action is required from you.

Note: In the unlikely event that a Final Sale item arrives damaged, customers can return it via Customer Service.

For more information, go to Amazon Return Policy.

@Danny_Amazon Hi Danny! Hope all is well and hope you are enjoying the New Year! I am having a bit of an issue with 1 specific trading card item which Amazon representatives are continuously allowing returns on (even though it is FBA and Final Sale/No Returns). I have tried to open cases and the wonderful Amazon representatives just continue spewing the generic replies stating "The items do not fall under non-returnable/final sale policy" and the same old statements that were provided prior to the October 1st update. It seems as if many representatives don't know of the trading card changes still because any time i open a chat/case, they just give me the same response.

While it does happen randomly with some other ASIN's (due to delivery issues and such) this specific item has had 40+ returns (not for delivery issues) in 30 days which is absurd and a clear problem with how the return team is handling Trading Card items.

My main issue with these items is that when Amazon puts these back in the inventory after receiving them back, 99.9% of the time they have been resealed/opened so the next person is getting defrauded, and they think it is us!

I have since stopped sending this ASIN in for FBA because of the amount of fraud and the returns team just accepting the returns, but this should not be an issue! Can you possibly look into case ID 19265351881. I can provide the return ID's as well.

Thank you for your continued assistance helping out us sellers who have been struggling with these issues and have a wonderful new year!

@Joey_Amazon@Seller_nUXRIxpv1gT6F@Danny_AmazonCan we please get an update on what is going on with Amazon's Customer Service returns team??

There seems to be some sort of disconnect as they are consistently allowing returns on items that are FINAL SALE/NO RETURNS. This is costing us THOUSANDS of dollars monthly and our feedback is getting affected by users who are receiving these "returned" items because the Amazon Warehouses are marking the items as sellable when they are more than likely used.

Everything was going GREAT when that initial notice went out of TCG/Collectible items being Final Sale. Then all of a sudden its like the Customer Service team just stop listening to the rules and started allowing returns again.

Can we please do something about this??

I have another issue with Amazon support for tradng cards NOT showing the final sales no returns badge. It has been 7 months trying them to fix ONE ASIN, yet all the ASINS. Currently there are about 200+ ASINS of trading cards that do not show the no returns badge and there is no process in place to get these fixed! Whenever I create a listing, there is a 50/50 chance of getting the badge, same category, no reason why sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

Looks like they are finally fixing this?
