New features for Fulfillment by Merchant sellers

We've introduced new Fulfillment by Merchant features to give you more control over your settings. These improvements can help you manage delivery dates more accurately and keep your products visible even when your business is closed.

New features for Fulfillment by Merchant settings include the following:

  • Seller-set holidays: You can now set your own holidays, which are days when your business is closed while keeping your products visible to customers. Previously, you had to use vacation mode to manage time off, which made your listings temporarily undiscoverable. The system automatically adjusts delivery dates to account for your holiday schedule. Go to Shipping Settings to configure your holiday dates. To learn more, go to Manage Holiday Settings.
  • Improved location settings: The new Locations tab in your shipping settings lets you customize your operations for each location. Set different operating days, carrier pick-up times, and order cut-off times to ensure more accurate delivery promises when you use Shipping Settings Automation. To learn more, go to Location based Shipping Settings.
  • Enhanced transparency for delivery dates: To help you understand how delivery dates are calculated, we've added new columns to your FBM order reports. These show the handling and transit times used for each order. You can also view and edit handling times per SKU and location in the FBM Inventory Manager. To learn more, go to FBM Order Reports.
  • Improvements to multi-location inventory (MLI): It's also now easier to manage multi-location inventory. Use the Fulfillment by Merchant inventory manager in Seller Central to enroll SKUs and update quantities through the Manage all inventory page. If you use multi-channel integrators such as Descartes Sellercloud, Fellowship, Linnworks, SureDone, or Etail Solutions, you can update inventory directly in their systems. You can also update your inventory using APIs or feed files. To learn more, go to Get started with Multi-Location Inventory.

how about the feature that turns off Amazon Price Fixing or what you call it potential pricing error which you have recently really attacked toys lately. We provide you info that you are wrong simple google search confirms our pricing is not high and many times we find we actually get more for items on eBay with zero returns so does Amazon just believe its customers are too stupid or you just want to drive sales off of Amazon?

.

Delivery dates are always should be estimate unless it is 2nd day or overnight as we have all seen dismantling of USPS over the last years slowing everything down as now 5-8 days many times is not long enough even though we ship same day!

.

FEATURE to decline pricing error and Amazon return buy boxes like they used to have where customers had 4 choices on the main page and stop listing manipulations which are buy box related due to pricing suppression! Taking away choice decreases sales and we all see how dead Amazon is overall.

The seller set holidays are long overdue and much appreciated. I think since Walmart has had this it finally put some pressure on, but it is appreciated nonetheless.

These are some great improvements.....

Now if we can just opt out of seller-paid returns on items below $20 and opt-out of auto-approved returns.

My off-Amazon policy has always been return any item for any reason within 30 days for a full refund of the item price. If it's my mistake or it's damaged I'll pay shipping or do returnless refund. If it's just buyer's remorse they pay shipping.

The goal of return approval is to provide a better customer experience by addressing concerns that a return or exchange may not fix. It also provides feedback that is important in improving item descriptions, product designs, and the overall buyer experience. The absolute last thing I want is to sell someone something they are not happy with.

AI customer service is the new IVR and nobody is really happy with it.

The holiday hours one was way overdue for FBM as both Ebay and Walmart allowed you to do time away without having to black out your listings for short holidays and could still sell. They just let the buyer know the seller will not ship until a certain date when they returned.

@Seller_3fb5PeetLDQvb& Amazon:

We CANNOT set our own holidays. We can simply take days that Amazon previously considered a holiday, and turn it into a business day. Which we have to do anyway, because you still expect 24 hour response time even when we "aren't working," and I doubt this "feature" (the "right" to work on a holiday) changes that any.

Is Ramadan a holiday for you? Passover? Chinese New Year? Too bad -- Amazon has decided what a good old American holiday means (although I have a feeling the last example is special-cased for some reason never to be explained to domestic sellers). Want to take an extra day to be with your family after flying across the country for a holiday? S*cks to be you.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but tell me how to take off Friday 12/26, typically a very slow day following a very busy season, giving me a much needed 4 day weekend:

https://sellercentral.amazon.com/sbr/sellerSetHolidays/edit?ref=sp_email

Also explain how I can really take it off without closing my Amazon account (or having it closed for seller performance, which makes much more sense).

A question to MODs:

What is a limit/number of seller-set holidays allowed?

Also, will this still negatively affect Speed Metric for SFP sellers, just like that currently dings us during each holiday (and weekend)?

Thanks.

The FBM order reports contain a column for "delivery instructions" which appear nowhere on the orders that we can find.

What's our responsibility for follow instructions we never see, and which are handled by a 3rd party? (I'm guessing I know the answer, and it's bad.)

A question to MODs:

What is a limit/number of seller-set holidays allowed?

Also, will this still negatively affect Speed Metric for SFP sellers, just like that currently dings us during each holiday (and weekend)?

Thanks.

What's our responsibility for follow instructions we never see, and which are handled by a 3rd party? (I'm guessing I know the answer, and it's bad.)
