Read onlyHi everyone - I just sent my first shipment of 752 units to AWD (shipped directly to FBA centers the last time). I was told to try this route to save money on fees. Well, I just got slammed with a $5,350 AWD transportation fee?!! What in the world could this be for?! I don't understand. Amazon automatically sent 50 of the 752 units to FBA to maintain my inventory levels, but there's no way that could cost 5K! I am panicking about this fee and need to understand if I'm going to be charged this amount every time I move a few units from AWD to FBA. If so, why did I send anything to AWD!!! I am so confused and defeated........
All I can say is good luck in sorting things out. Amazon being a for profit company seems never to err in a seller's favor.
Hi @Seller_T9plKPxS8WtLJ,
I'm sorry to read about this experience and will be asking our partners to dig into this. Do you have an existing case ID already open for them to contact you?
For reference, the AWD fee structure can be found here, where transportation fees are calculated at $1.00/cu ft. or $0.85/cu ft. for base and integrated rates, respectively. So if you can measure your charges against that and share what the gap is it would be beneficial to include in the research.

Wish luck on your case. I am following
Using their fee structure, with the assumption that what you say is true, $5,350 to simply process 50 units:
$5,350 for 50 units
Per Unit Processing Fees = $125
$5,225 for AWD transportation fees = $104.50/ unit
Each unit would be 104.5 cubic feet.
I'm guessing you're selling VW Bugs or commercial refrigerators?
I just started using AWD and now I'm panicking.
Checking my statement it appears to be normal: I think AWD only ships entire box of products, and based on what I see, AWD has correct record of cubic feet of my boxes, and the charges seem to be correct. AWD shipped 14 boxes of my products to FBA, each about 5 cubic feet, so about 70 cubic feet total. They charged me $64.85 as "transportation fee". It would have been more than that If I shipped 14 boxes to various FBA warehouses so overall it seems to be a cost saving.
So there must be some error on your shipment and I'm confident Amazon will figure it out soon and will correct this.
AWD delay and missing inventories for me is another story though, so overall, I'm going to ship in my AWD stock 2-3 months earlier next year, if they can find my missing inventories in time for this year...
