NEED AMAZON REP HELP — Existing Cartier ASIN B000F3VSN0 GTIN Affiliation Issue — Case 21821789581

Hello Amazon Moderators,

I am requesting assistance with Case ID 21821789581 regarding an existing Cartier ASIN that was previously active.

ASIN: B000F3VSN0

Brand: Cartier

Model: Tank Française W51007Q4

SKU: W51007Q4 2

GTIN: 7612456002205

This is not a request to create a new ASIN. The existing ASIN is being blocked because Amazon states that the GTIN owner does not directly match the Cartier brand.

Seller Support requested proof of affiliation between Cartier and Richemont International Distribution, the GS1 owner of GTIN 7612456002205.

During Case 21821789581, we have provided extensive official documentation, including:

• Verified by GS1 showing GTIN 7612456002205 licensed to Richemont International Distribution

• Official Swiss government records showing Richemont International Distribution is a branch of Richemont International SA

• Cartier’s official website showing Cartier International AG is a branch of Richemont International SA

• Richemont’s official website identifying Cartier as one of its Maisons

• USPTO documentation linking Cartier International AG and Richemont International SA

• An official government record naming Cartier and Richemont International Distribution together

• A Paris Court of Appeal decision expressly stating that Richemont International SA distributes and organizes the promotion of Cartier products through its branch Richemont International Distribution

Seller Support has reviewed these documents but continues to require a single trademark registration, signed legal agreement, Letter of Affiliation, or official brand/manufacturer website directly naming both Cartier and Richemont International Distribution.

Because this concerns an existing Cartier catalog ASIN, and the GTIN itself is GS1-verified, could an Amazon moderator please review Case 21821789581 and escalate this to the appropriate Catalog/GTIN team for manual review?

I am not attempting to create a duplicate ASIN or use an unrelated barcode. I am trying to restore an existing ASIN using its legitimate existing GTIN.

-----There is also a separate button cell battery compliance issue for this same ASIN.-----

We submitted the requested button cell battery compliance documentation on August 31, 2026, under Case ID 21821112721.

This compliance case is separate from the GTIN/brand issue above. However, the documentation has now been under review longer than we normally experience for similar button cell battery submissions.

If possible, could an Amazon moderator also please check Case 21821112721 and determine whether the battery compliance review is still progressing normally or whether it requires escalation? We have already provided the requested documentation and would appreciate clarification on why the review is taking longer than usual.

Any assistance with reviewing or escalating these two separate issues would be greatly appreciated.

GTIN/catalog: Case 21821789581

Button-cell compliance: Case 21821112721

Thank you,

Todd

You shouldn't be selling any brand without a Letter of Authorization from the brand owners. Not having this...search the forums on how many accounts are daily deactivated for IP and inauthentic products.

Include your LOA from the brand owner and a Letter of Affiliation explaining the link between the GS1 registration, the brand name, and you. This is a normal requirement for fixing GS1/brand issues.

For the compliance review, lately it has been taking 30-45 days from what I have seen on the forums, so you are well within the time frame for these things.

@Amazon Moderators — just to clarify the purpose of this post:

I appreciate the seller-to-seller input, but I am specifically requesting Amazon staff review and escalation of Case 21821789581.

I am an independent reseller of this existing Cartier ASIN. I am not the brand owner, so I do not have the ability to modify Cartier/Richemont’s GS1 records or change how Richemont has registered its GTIN data.

Seller Support has already reviewed the GS1 record and extensive official documentation establishing the Cartier/Richemont relationship. The issue is now that the case appears to be stuck in a documentation-validation loop despite this being an existing ASIN that was previously active, rather than a seller attempting to create a new private-label ASIN or use an unrelated UPC.

I am therefore not asking other sellers to determine whether Cartier and Richemont are affiliated or how Richemont should maintain its GS1 data. I am asking an Amazon moderator to review Case 21821789581 and determine whether it can be escalated internally to the appropriate Catalog/GTIN team for manual review.

There is also a separate button-cell compliance review for the same ASIN under Case 21821112721, submitted August 31, which I would appreciate an Amazon moderator checking as well because it has been pending longer than our similar compliance submissions normally take.

Thank you very much to any Amazon moderator who can review these case IDs.

Hello @Seller_iWo8vaHuUOSYG,

Thank you for posting and for providing such detailed information about your case. I appreciate the effort you have put into gathering documentation for ASIN B000F3VSN0.

I have reviewed Case 21821789581. The core issue is that the GTIN registered to Richemont International Distribution does not directly match the brand Cartier in the GS1 verification database, and the documentation submitted so far establishes the connection between the two entities through a shared parent company rather than directly within a single document.

I understand this can be a difficult situation, especially as an independent reseller who may not have the ability to obtain corporate documents from Cartier or Richemont. However, the verification process does require a single document that directly names both Cartier and Richemont International Distribution and establishes the relationship between them. The most practical path forward would be one of the following:

  • A Letter of Affiliation on official Cartier or Richemont letterhead that names both Cartier and Richemont International Distribution, references GTIN 7612456002205, and is signed by an authorized representative with their name, title, and company seal.
  • A trademark registration where both Cartier and Richemont International Distribution appear together directly.
  • A legal agreement naming both parties directly.

I recognize that obtaining such a document as a reseller may be challenging. If you have a relationship with your supplier or distributor, they may be able to assist in requesting this documentation from Richemont or Cartier on your behalf.

Regarding your separate button cell battery compliance case (21821112721), that review is being handled independently and you will receive an update through that case once the review is complete.

Regards,

Billy
