Read onlyI'm posting this question because most sellers are afraid of closing return requests even after the time has elapsed as Amazon's policy leaves room for interpretation. Returns can be made within 30 days return window from the estimated date of delivery or 15 days from the date of authorization of the return request.
This leaves room for some confusion and I hope a moderator answers this specific example and makes it clear for the sellers so that we can close return requests that don't qualify for a return.
Example Scenario: Product gets delivered to the customer on Jan 03, 2024. Customer files for a return request on Jan 09, 2024 and it is auto-authorized. However, the customer doesn't send the product back (i.e. generated return label is not used) until February 10, 2024. By this time, both the 30 day return window and the 15 day transit window from the date of authorization of the return have elapsed.
1. Does this mean the return request can be closed on February 10, 2024 in this example scenario? Kindly clarify.
2. Until which date can the customer claim for a A to Z guarantee claim in this example scenario?
