What a ridiculous A-Z Claim

Come across a ridiculous thing.

We had a customer place an order with us, because the customer's address is near our warehouse, so we used local self-delivery. The product were delivered to the customer on time, and the customer also signed on the BOL.

However, the customer opend an A-Zclaim after receiving the product 20 days, due to “Hasn't been shipped yet”. Amazon has directly refunded the customer and affected the ODR of our account. We submitted the proof of delivery document according to the process, but Amazon did not accept our POD and closed the channel for complaints. What we are very upset about is that clearly we hand the product to the customer, and the customer also signed. But why doesn't Amazon approve our appeal? What's more ridiculous is that the customer simply writes a reason (did not receive the product), and Amazon will refund the money directly to the customer? This is a very ridiculous thing, this is a scam!! Does it mean that you apply for an account and place an order with an FBM seller and then, in any case, use the reason of "not received" to get a refund and the product at the same time? Even if the guest receives the product.

We have opened a case for this situation: 13855934601, hoping that Amazon can pay attention to this situation and do not let the fraud continue to spread. @Michelle_Amazon@Steve_Amazon

I hope it was not an expensive order.

Fact is when the bots check they see that it was never delivered since there is no tracking.

It may be temping to self deliver. But as you see if there is an issue, you are not protected.

You may involve law enforcement or some federal agency, but Amazon will not look kindly on this.

You chose to go outside the guidelines -- ignore Amazon's rules. You took the risk, and it did not go well for you. There is no reason why Amazon would make an exception for you.

It may serve as a learning experience for a few who have considered doing the same.

Hello @Seller_KX2Vq0ee0EYSa

Thank you for visiting the seller forums. I am sorry to learn you used local self-delivery to fill an order and then you lost an A-to-z claim when the buyer asserted they did not receive the delivery.

We have a Local Delivery program currently available as a pilot in limited countries. However, this program is for sellers who are located in countries outside of the US with listings on Amazon.com. The Local Delivery customer experience allows customers in the seller's home country to shop on Amazon.com where they are able to see offers which will ship to them faster. Products included in the Ships Locally search results display a fast local-shipping message.
