So long Amazon!

I honestly can't believe how much of a waste of time selling on Amazon has been! I don't regret it as it was a lesson learned and life can always be worse but selling on Amazon has been an absolute waste of resources. Their lack of seller support is shocking. I spent months researching products, finding suppliers, ordering and waiting for samples, designing logos, packaging and A+ content, filing trademarks, registering the brands, shipping into the FBA warehouses, listing, and simply waiting for results. The store never even had a chance as a few months after I listed my store, I received a message that my products were "expired". We're talking about plastic tongue scrapers. After months of back-and-forth, they finally sent me photos with "evidence" indicating the reasoning for the mislabeling. NOTHING in the photos showed any expiration date, any damage, NOTHING! I even responded back saying there was nothing in the photos that corroborates their claim. They said the decision was final and that I had to submit a removal order or the products would be disposed of. We're talking over $5,000 of inventory. Over the last 2 months, I have been receiving dozens of small packages with 5-20 units per package (again, a waste of time for me and Amazon's resources).

For those who are successful, kudos!! I'm glad some people have been able to make some profit from this. Amazon needs to seriously invest in state-side support.

I have liquidated half of the inventory and half is now sitting my garage until I can figured out another channel. Maybe it was my fault, maybe the products weren't good enough, who knows. But I'm actually relieved that I'm done with Amazon.

Good luck to everyone else! I wish nothing but success! Love to all!

Many starters jump right into FBA.

Probably would have went better if you started off with a small supply.

Create the listing on Amazon and ship them yourself (FBM).

When an order comes in stuff it into a padded envelope & slap on a shipping label.

Just to get an idea of the process and how your product would fair on Amazon. I would stay FBM until the incoming order level was more than you could handle before going full FBA.
