Timing of Capacity Increases
How do you manage the timing of sending in inventory for capacity increases on 12/1? We can't prep a shipment, create a label or sent it out until the day the limit is actually increased. Even we have the items packed up and ready to creat shipment > label > give to carrier, it arrives far to late for Xmas shopping.
I'm at a loss as to why then we even need a capacity increase on 12/1 since it's not feasible. I have considered AWD but my understanding is that doesn't arrive any faster.
I also don't want to pay for earlier increases. I just want to be able to use the increased capacity that Amazon gives me.
What am I missing?

I believe therein lies the rub. Requesting increased capacity earlier in the peak holiday season will assist you in getting inventory into the FC network prior to the peak volume / rush. My colleague Ricardo actually published a thread on this topic in June! Use Capacity Manager for improved holiday planning.
