Even way before DD+7 was a thought by Amazon, spending money on ads was equivalent to just lighting the money on fire. Better investment for ad money is building out your own website with great SEO and diversifying across other marketplaces.

I believe DD+69 will see over all drop in Amazon as of now any item that sellers we up our pricing and check alternate markets and shift always as we do not want to be dealing with the next wave of BS brewing during holiday we want to be in position next time where we just cut the cord and move on. Amazon has lost all trust with sellers and customers as who can believe anything on amazon listings with all the unnatural market pricing manipulation amazon implements for self profit and transactional fee generation returns.

I'm a 15+ year seller and I completely dropped all my ads and moved that to my website and other platforms. Ones who actually pay me when the job is done. Time to move away from this platform. Its only going to get worse.

I never believed in Amazon ads anyway. This last crazy DD-7 madness just confirms for me that diversification is the only way to proceed.

My Amazon year to date is down 35%. My Walmart sales are up 180%.

Doesn’t take no genius thinking I’m obviously onto something here.

Building up other platforms and my website, so I don’t have to deal with Amazon’s insanity.

Honestly, it’s getting harder for new sellers, especially with rising PPC costs and tighter margins. A lot of people come in thinking ads alone will carry the product, but if the offer, pricing, or listing isn’t strong, PPC just burns cash faster now.

I think newer sellers who survive will be the ones who stay lean, test small, and focus more on conversion and differentiation instead of trying to outspend bigger brands. Amazon’s probably going to see some drop in ad spend from smaller sellers, but the serious brands will still invest, they’ll just be way more careful with where the money goes.
