Unauthorized external website using my Brand Registry images & appearing under Amazon mobile listing

Hello Amazon team,

I am a Brand Registered seller. An external website (kateminimalist.com) is using my original Amazon listing images without authorization.

This website appears under my product on the Amazon mobile app in the “Shop other stores directly (beta)” section.

• I do not own or operate this website

• I never authorized image usage

• The site prices the product higher than my Amazon offer

• Customers online are labeling this site as a scam

I am concerned this creates customer confusion and may harm brand trust.

Could a Community Manager please advise the correct Brand Registry or internal escalation path to remove this external site and unauthorized image usage from Amazon mobile search results?

Thank you for your assistance.

FIRST (unwritten) RULE of the Forum if you want help from the MODS --

If you have opened any cases provide a number so any MOD that happens to drop by can look it over to see if they can help -- and they WILL need it!.

Without a case number in the posts it wastes time for everyone. I no longer tag anyone if there is no case #.

They have to ask for it and then wait for a reply from the poster and then the poster has to wait again for the MOD to find the case, and then more waiting.

ALSO the Government has a site IC3 (Amazon will remove the link if I put it here but it’s part of the FBI for an easy search) where you can report the use of the internet for theft and fraud. It is generally used to report on websites but it can be used to report buyers as well as other sellers if you happen to encounter one of the Amazon scam crowd.

Do the images on the website lead back to Amazon when clicked? If so, the site may be participating in the Amazon Associates program, which is a way for them to earn affiliate income. Amazon‘s terms allow for Amazon associates product widgets to display images that sellers have used in their listings.

The prices should be the same though.

That external website seems to be a tiny operation based in Springfield, VA that sells a great many unrelated products (beauty, pet supplies, Halloween costumes, etc.) at wildly inflated prices compared to other stores.

Their BBB profile shows an F rating, with nothing but one-star reviews and comments like "Fraud! I ordered over $300 worth of products in Sep 2024 and they never delivered."

In my opinion, any fraudulent activity they commit involving other brands creates a genuine risk of unwarranted negative reviews, social media backlash, and reputational harm for those brands.

I doubt Amazon will offer any help here, and in our experience, businesses like this usually ignore cease-and-desist notices.

However, Shopify—this seller's shopping cart service—does have a process for taking down stores engaged in fraud or IP infringement. This might be your most effective option.

Hi @Seller_KZUogv0kJ8v0d

Sandy from the community manager team here. Thank you for this post.

First, Amazon cannot take down or flag external websites as they are beyond amazon scope. What we can look into is the connection to this website that appeals on the amazon mobile app.

Would you please respond here with any case IDs regarding this case so we can look into what investigations have been completed already?

Best,

Sandy
