I'm a third party seller and have a number of gas-powered equipment listings that we have had on Amazon for years. As of 2024, they cannot ship to California. About half of our current listings accurately prevent buyers from shipping the item to California, but the rest don't, and I can't figure out why.

I've tried ensuring that the items are listed in the correct category, adding 'gas-powered' as the power source attribute when available, and adding CARB compliance info stating the item is non-compliant. Nothing I do seems to update the item to prevent it from shipping to California.

It's worth noting that we aren't the original creators of these items, so our suggestions to the catalog are probably not getting approved, even fixes for an obviously incorrectly selected category. But it's quite clear these listings are for gas-powered equipment.

These items can ship to any other state. How to I resolve this? If we continue to just cancel orders to CA, we'll negatively affect our performance.

Can someone tell me how to remove Amazon Shipping as an option for my customers? It costs me %25 more than USPS and the entire process is so convoluted I can't even figure out how to process these shipments. Thanks all...

I am in the process of setting up my Shipping Setting Automation and was wondering if there was a way to select certain shipping services for certain states as part of the standard shipping option. Currently, every state is selected and is greyed out unable to change it. So whatever shipping service I apply, gets applied for all 50 states.

My goal is to have the states closest to me be on 2 day standard shipping, farther states on 3 day shipping, and the remaining states on ground shipping.

If anybody knows how to do this it would be greatly appreciated!
