Looks like it is gonna be time to move one FROM AMAZON

After 7+ years selling books on Amazon, I suddenly get hit with “This product has other listing Limitations”

My account is healthy, no dings, no warnings, yet the restrictions keep piling up, especially on books.

Over time, Amazon has made it harder and harder for smaller sellers to operate. And honestly, I’m finding that I can now make just as much money on eBay as I do with Amazon FBA, without the constant friction.

Unless something drastically changes, this may be goodbye to Amazon for me.

The reality is that Amazon has grown so large that small sellers doing $100K–$150K a year simply don’t matter anymore. When I first started, selling on Amazon was actually fun. The last two years? It’s felt more like a grind than a business I enjoyed.

The good news is this won’t take my overall business down. What I’m doing today on Amazon, I’m confident I can replace, and grow, elsewhere.

Amazon will go on.

And so will we.

What you are seeing is common across all products. Over the 50,000 different products we are selling this month, books are included. The difference on the effect it has on our business is about zero. We do like you, simply place the title on another site.

Amazon used to the the place to find almost any product ever made delivered right to your door; now with all the catalog and listing restrictions, they probably cut their catalog in half (especially for older OOP product).

We do the same as well and just sell them somewhere else; the funny thing as the river recedes it boosts the other marketplaces. Many products we could only sell on Amazon 5 years ago are now just as poriftbale if not more elsewhere.

Joke is still on us...

Amazon has a "Buy Direct" program they are testing where the item is listed on Amazon but and AI bot makes the purchase from outside Amazon...essentially Amazon is drop shipping.

I believe Walmart did something similar (manually) 10 years ago to try and build their online catalog to compete with Amazon.

I'm always amazed people are still selling books.

Truth is, Amazon actively works with China to destroy American businesses. The Amazon model is to have an American business create new ideas, new products, innovate and sell on Amazon. While this happens Amazon watches American sellers, collects our data and then works with China to find companies to replace us. Once Amazon finds a Chinese seller to replace an American seller they sabotage the American seller.
