Trademark misuse (Airpods) -- Anyone has this today (11/12/2025)?
Woke up this morning to find a large number of Suspected Intellectual Property Violations: Trademark Misuse (AirPods). The list keeps growing every 10 minutes.
The only common factor seems to be that these are electronic items with USB-C charging.
Has any other vendor received similar suspected violations today? Any insights or comments?

Are you authorized by Apple to sell their branded items?

Yes, many of our usb-c cable listings were marked as violation for "Airpods" while there is no mention of Airpods at all. These are regular USB-C charging cables with our own brand name. All listings with "USB-C" in the title were marked.

Same here. Started with 2 violation and now up to 6. None of the products in question have anything to do with AirPods, Apple, phones, headphones or anything of the sort.
Different brands are affected.
Checked titles, images, bullet points, description - nothing that would even come close to suggesting any trademark issues.
AI gone wild I guess. Here are some ASINs in question. We are an authorized retails for these brands.

I think just having the word "USB-C" is causing these issues.

Same issue here! The products flagged for “Trademark misuse (AirPods)” don’t even mention “AirPods” in either the product title or description. Very strange!

The Account Specialist on the phone agreed that the listings do not violate anything and recommended to open a case about it and continue adding ASINs to it. We are up to 16 violations. I suggest everyone does the same.
To summarize the bot has been incorrectly programmed to flag any listing with "USB-C" in it as a trademark violation for AirPods.
Mods - case 18828262951.

Yep. Saw this too. We have nothing to do with Airpods.
- We scrubbed our listings to make sure all the places mentioned in the performance notification and Account Health were not infringing and we found nothing!
- Seller Peformance found nothing!
- And nothing found by the Catalog team either!
What is going on.
Worst yet one of the chat support agents suggested that we ignore the notifications and wait until the listings were deactivated. Say Whaaat? I kid you not. Never in the 12 years selling on Amazon has anyone ever suggested such malpractice!

Same thing right now, how did you fix it, the assistant told me she can't handle it and send me to superior manage by email. Did you delete the "USB - Type C" from the listing?

3 cases, 3 different responses.
Case 1 (18828372471): We have reviewed your ASINs and found no issues, no changes are required and they will be automatically reinstated within 12-24 hours.
Case 2 (18828262951): We have reviewed your ASINs and found no issues. However, you need edit the listing and save as is, and will trigger the violations to go away.
Case 3 (18828368941): We have reviewed your ASINs and you need to address the violation by removing trademarked terms, blah blah blah.
Only have till Nov 14 until listings are taken down and almost $60k in monthly sales across those 16 ASINs are at stake.

Despite what the support said in two of the cases above, the violations remain on the account today.
Out of curiosity I replace "USB-C" with "USB Type-C" in the title and that seems to have fixed it.
Mods should still look at this mess.
