Amazon Seller Support poor performance

Amazon is requiring from every sellers to have the best performance.

But seller support can be graded 1/20 at best.

They most likely are not able to solve your problem.

You want to talk to someone but the calls never go through.

So you lose money because you have this.

This is so fustrating

Thanks

Yes Seller Support service is poor at its best.

Amazon has absolutely no reason to invest in well-trained Seller Support. They are getting away with poor service that is cheaply paid. Why pay more?

Customer service is really hardly needed anymore. As AI runs a smooth ship for the most part from what I've seen.

We submitted a case about a shipment closed without checking in after delivered to Amazon FC. However, They are keeping us in the same loop without any help or understanding the difference between investigation a shipment delivered and lost in Fulfillment Center and the missing units found during receiving status.

At first I didn't like Amazon seller support and the journey to arrive at an actual human. And then I figured it out. Here are the steps to creating the perfect and happy journey through Amazon seller support, which I now absolutley love.

Step 1 - Create a master document with all cases information: case #, details, and screenshots. Label all screenshots with Case # and Brief example.

Step 2 - File a new case, and don't submit by email or chat, use the phone call. The easiest way to get to the phone option is to make sure that your case, doesn't fit any where else, which is easy, as most Amazon cases are outside of the stock responses Amazon give. I think the option is "My issue is not covered." Keep hitting this, until the phone call option is given. Then have them call you.

Step 3 - Screenshots and giving Seller Central Time to review your case. Don't get angry, just speak kindly and factually. (It's easy to be frustrated as Amazon doesn't care about the seller, the buyer, and the customer service person your talking to at Seller Central. Amazon doesn't care about anyone. So don't get made at the Seller Central representative.)

Step 4 - If you are not having any luck and need deeper facts about your case or someone who can see deeper into your account. Just say, "I'd like to escalate this case. I need more help. Please escalate the case to the next level up of Seller Support." If you do this, depending on the issue they transfer you to a person higher up who has more account access and they can advise you with deeper suggestions and strategy on how to deal with the problem.

Step 5 - If you need to provide more information on the case, add it to your master data sheet before copying and pasting.

The master data sheets will help you copy and paste, as well as track information. When a vendor or another seller is attacking your store, the master data sheet helps compile information over weeks and months, so you can track and report the vendor abuses and seller abuses attacking your store.

Again, this system works. But Amazon doesn't care about the sellers, the buyers, or the Seller Central representatives helping you with the problem. As long as you keep this in mind, it will help you from feeling exploited by Amazon's policies. Amazon only cares about their vendors, who are Chinese Factories, that they've made direct partnerships with to supply all global marketplaces. These vendors use their deep access to account information to attack the sellers and manufacturers of products that compete with the Amazon Vendors. All Amazon's algorithms for showing buyers products are geared to showing Amazon vendors products over products that buyers prefer but aren't made by Amazon vendors. Most likley, if you're store is being attacked it's by Chinese factories in Shenzen who are Amazon Vendors and Temu Vendors.

The best strategy to keep reporting your cases of all these abuses until they stop or you get your competitors flagged for abuses. And then make the decision to treat your Amazon store as a place for your old products, and don't put anything new on your store. Treat Amazon like the place for clearance items and sloppy seconds, not a place for your flagship products. Treat Amazon/Temu for the joke that is. Pivot away from a marketplace that was an early adopter in AI for the back end, as the sales are not improving. Amazon is dead unless your a Chinese factory with Amazon Vendor status.

And lastly, don't participate in any of Amazon's programs. We try, knowing that their programs fail, as they're rigged for Amazon vendors to have an edge on sellers and buyers. It's alway nice to see if Amazon has changed, but it's a systemic problem with Amazon.

In the next year, there will a class action lawsuit against Amazon based on it's suppression of products and it's extra charges filed under "other", where they're taking extra money from sellers globablly with no explanation of the charges.

Amazon/Temu is a dead marketplace. You can buy all product sold on Amazon, cheaper if you buy directly from the brands websites.

I'll probably get roasted for this.

I joined 3 years ago and contacted Seller Support for various reasons. They were mostly returning template answers from the team in South Asia. Horrible.

But this year 2025, I contacted them twice. Surprisingly, they solved my issues quite satisfactorily.

I think most of the responses we get are generated by some low level ai system. no possible way its coming from a human. Unless they really don't care about their job

I think live humans identify and type in the first keyword you say -- "inventory," "shipped," "listing," "deactivated," etc. When they type that word into their system, what comes up on their screen is a boilerplate response to the question most frequently asked that contains that keyword. And then they just keep repeating the boilerplate until you become too frustrated to continue.
