On the back of the reused USPS Tracking numbers, we now have another Buy Shipping USPS issue where over 200 Ground Advantage packages from March 7th have the status:
"Your item has potentially been delayed due to a required postage assessment. As of March 17, 2025 at 7:55 am, it is currently in transit to the destination."
We have started to receive a large number of customer complaints and requests for refunds due to these shipments being severely delayed.
Here's just a few of the order #s and tracking:
@KJ_Amazon Any chance you would be able to take a look?
Thank you!
As of today, I have received over 20 complaints in the last 2 days with this issue where packages are being delayed. Expecting more complaints...
Our mail carrier said it's some kind of required "piece count" that they have to do, apparently where they literally have to count each piece of mail.
We had same issue for orders between 3/8-3/10. Now, we're really afraid it might happen this weekend again? Amazon should investigate asap. PLEASE!!!!!!
Any updates from Amazon?
I tried opening a case and the auto response are to contact UPS.. even though this was a USPS issue with Amazon Buy Shipping.
Each day, I continue to receive complaints from customers about their packages. Packages that were shipped between March 6th-11th are all delayed and none delivered. For me, that's over 350 orders that have not been delivered thus far.

We are experiencing the same issue. All packages shipped with a USPS Ground Advantage shipping label purchased through Amazon Buy Shipping service from March 6 through March 11 have been seized by USPS for "Postage Assessment". No exception - each one of them.
We opened a case with seller support (case ID: 17430447041). They just replied with general information such as "contact USPS" and then closed the support ticket.
Please help!
Hey Amazon forum support team!!!! This is a real issue, has anyone that manages the forum passed this along to the appropriate department at Amazon?
Their customer support is about as talented as Amazons seller support.
I am also going through this issue. Customers are asking for returns as they don't need it anymore.
It sounds like the fault is on Amazon so is Amazon going to cover the return shipping costs? @KJ_Amazon
No matter how urgent an issue is to sellers, no heavy lifting is done by mods on the weekend.
And, considering that @Seller_UAZKffA7vpwUC posted about this concern on TUESDAY, and there still has been no meaningful or substantive reply (today being Sunday), tells me all I need to know about any "urgency" Amazon attaches to this matter.
If you shipped and the carrier scanned within your handling time, then issues with delivery should be covered. You would need to direct the buyer to file an AtoZ if they do not receive the package by the promised delivery date.
If all/most your shipments from that date are affected, it's likely something happened at one of the USPS hubs and they flagged all packages affected in that manifest/bin. You're likely never going to get an official reasons as it was an internal issue (and no one will openly accept blame). Talking to any clerk or postman as to why is like asking the doorman in an office building what happened on the 7th floor when the files got mis shuffled.
