Critical: Unauthorized Brand Name Change to "dzotmyn," Loss of Listing Control & Fraudulent Orders
Hello,
We have encountered serious unauthorized changes to our listings, resulting in a complete loss of control over our own products. We have a registered trademark, and our listings (UPCs are registered under Our Brand) were in great shape, with Amazon badges and strong performance. However, our listings have been transferred to another brand without consent, paralyzing our business.
[I have created a case with full details and necessary documents : Case ID 17261267111 ]
Issues Faced:
1. Brand Name Changed to "dzotmyn" (Case ID: 17263032421)
- The brand name on our two listings was changed to "dzotmyn" without any request or authorization from our side.
- When visiting the dzotmyn storefront, it appears under the name "Take you to a better place", yet it continues to display our trademarked brand logo, creating a misleading and unauthorized representation.
2. Access to Our Listings Blocked
- Lost access to the edit listing page, when clicking on it we are asked to request approval to sell, even though these are our own products.
- If we proceed with the request, the system states: "You are requesting approval to sell dzotmyn brand items."
- This confirms that our listings have been forcefully assigned to another brand, preventing us from managing or updating them.

3. Unauthorized Changes to Listing Structure
- Previously, all three variations of our product were merged under a single parent listing. But now they are separated. Reviews and ratings appear separate. One variation is still under our control with our brand name. But the other two now got separated and are under “dzotym”.
Amazon’s Response on 1,2,3
- We created a case with Amazon support, explaining the entire situation. However, their response was:
"After a review, we've determined that the attribute you would like to update for this ASIN has already been claimed by another representative of the brand. While we are unable to make updates as per your request, we have sent the changes you requested to the brand owner for consideration. However, please note that they are under no obligation to make these updates. Your change request may be updated only if accepted by the winning contributor, and further follow-up is not required by you on the same."
- This makes no sense at all. We are the actual brand owner, yet we are being told that another entity controls our listings, and we have no way to regain access.
Case ID: 17260476011
4. Suspicious Business Buyer Orders (Case ID: 17262380601)
We are also facing a suspicious pattern of large purchases from a business account, which appears to be an attempt to harm our brand. These orders are:
- All high-quantity orders that clear out our inventory.
- Payments remain unverified, leaving the status as "Pending – Awaiting Payment Verification."
- We cannot cancel these orders from our side, leaving us stuck with unavailable inventory.
- A past order was refunded after remaining pending for a long time, reinforcing our suspicion that this is an intentional tactic to disrupt our business.
Suspicious Order Details:
- Order ID: 112-0330129-9221047 (20 units, business customer, Pending – Awaiting payment verification)
- Order ID: 114-7839177-8064223 (328 units, business customer, Pending – Awaiting payment verification)
- Order ID: 111-4954870-7419457 (One week ago, 10 units, business customer, Refund applied)
5. Return Fraud – Fake Items Being Sent Back with Our Labels (Case ID: 17262380601)
It seems like a deliberate pattern is happening:
- They order from us.
- Fake order remains pending for days.
- Items get shipped to them.
- They return the package—but instead of our actual product, they send back trash bags, plastic wraps, or other junk.
- Amazon automatically adds these fake returns back into our inventory.
- Our real customers end up receiving these fake returns instead of our actual product.
One of our customers contacted us, stating that they ordered a bag but received a bag full of plastic wraps instead.
Customer Order ID: [114-8289202-6673001]

This fraudulent activity is severely damaging our brand reputation, and customers are blaming us for something we did not do.
Past Unauthorized Changes
This is not the first time we have faced such an issue. The brand name was changed without authorization once before (Case ID: 15083035201). The same issue is happening again, indicating a serious flaw in brand control mechanisms.
Brand Registry Revocation
Our brand registry was revoked due to our former attorney being blacklisted. We took immediate corrective action by removing the attorney from our trademark application, yet we have been unable to reinstate our brand registry despite owning the trademark. And we are facing such issues since then.
Urgent Action Needed:
- Restore the correct brand name on our listings.
- Reinstate our ability to edit and manage our own products.
- Reinstate our brand registry.
- Investigate and stop fraudulent orders that are blocking our inventory.
- Investigate the return fraud and prevent fake items from being added back to our inventory.
This situation is severely impacting our ability to sell, and we need immediate action to resolve it. Please let us know if further information is needed.

Someone changed brand to dzotmyn on our ASIN a week ago. Amazon seller support would not help at all! Did you get a chance to get your listings back?
Seller_NxPuqak8YNJEF
Our brand registry was revoked due to our former attorney being blacklisted.
if the attorney involved was a scammer, perhaps they did not really submit anything, and just pocketed the money.
We took immediate corrective action by removing the attorney from our trademark application
perhaps the trademark application was made void by using a fake attorney?
have you seen evidence yourself on the official USPTO website that your trademark or trademark application still exists?
a pending application with a fake attorney leading to problems likely means you now need to start over again with a real attorney
The brand name being changed is a different issue, because it is possible to have a brand without being involved in brand registry. Someone hacking your account or accessing it from inside Amazon and changing the brand name on your listings is a serious issue, and unfortunately somewhat common. If you haven't already, screencap the GS1 page showing that your business "owns" the UPC codes.

Where the heck are the mods on this one!?!?!

Hello @Seller_dCZkodJaYtarZ,
Dougal here from the Community Manager Team and thanks for all the info. I can help with the incorrect brand name change and provide some additional insight on the other "Urgent Action," requested.
I have submitted a request to the appropriate team to remove the 2 ASINs you provided in case ID 17263032421 from the brand "dzotmyn."
Unfortunately, I cannot request the original brand name be added back because the original brand name on these ASINs have been marked as Abusive.
You will need to appeal the brands removal from Amazon Brand Registry and once that is complete and the brand is no longer labeled as abusive, I can request the ASINs be re-mapped to the brand.
Have you submitted an appeal regarding your brands removal from Amazon Brand Registry yet? If not, I recommend doing that, especially since you mentioned knowing why the brand was removed. If you have, but need some support or assistance with your appeal, feel free to provide that appeal case ID here and I can take a look.
Either way, I will provide an update as soon as I have one from my escalation on the incorrect brand name on those ASINs.
Best, Dougal
