This post may contain personal data Please consider removing any personal data

We’ve recently started seeing a warning message on some forum posts:

"This post may contain personal data. Please consider removing any personal data."

What’s odd is that these posts don’t actually contain anything that would be considered personal information. We’ve gone to great lengths to avoid including sensitive details - no names, no shipping info, nothing specific.

It’s making us wonder:

  • Is this a new automated moderation feature?
  • Could it be linked to a shadow ban or soft moderation for previously flagged discussions?
  • Has anyone else had this message show up even when their content was compliant?

We’re trying to understand the triggers behind it. Any insights would be appreciated. If you’ve seen this message or experienced similar moderation behaviour, please share your thoughts below.

We have seen it for a while now. Can't quite figure it out, except sometimes if you put the name of a state in your post, it triggers it.

Any location name will trigger the alert. So when you are talking about shipping to areas, or different marketplaces, or rules in certain state, it will always show up.

Just ignore it.
