New to amazon selling and wondering about proof of shipment when not using fulfillment

by Seller_b4f1t9vOI8C8C

Hello we are selling items that are handmade and quite expensive. On eBay they give you the shipping label based on your specifications, and the purchase of the label is linked to the website so its easy to provide proof of sending the item.

I was wondering how it works here when you sell an item, does Amazon have any kind of policy for if/when the buyer claims that they have not received an item? There is nothing about choosing a shipping service when listing a handmade item.

This sounds like you haven't spent any time studying the platform, its policies or these forums.

When an item sells you put in the dimensions and pick from the services listed for shipping. You can use your own shipper but you lose protections if you don't use amazon shipping.

Be aware that the amount of fraud on this website is the largest by far. You will be setting yourself up for giving away both the item and the money from the sales here on amazon. Any customer complaint and amazon just refunds and lets them keep the items. And the scammers know this.

Now put your account on vacation and do your due diligence as a business owner and learn about the platform before you really screw up here. You get one account per person, per life. If you lose it you are done here.

Amazon declares that if you use Amazon buy-shipping, and so long as tracking shows that you shipped on time, that you will then be protected against a claim of non-receipt. That is -- the A to Z claim will not affect your metrics and Amazon will pay the claim.

They sometimes renege on this promise and the seller has to appeal.

Hello @Seller_b4f1t9vOI8C8C, if you use Buy Shipping services and ship on time, you are protected against claims where a customer reports problems with delivery. Amazon will cover the cost of these claims and they will not affect your Order Defect Rate.
