Blocking MX and CA accounts

Hi y'all.

A month ago i noticed that Amazon Mexico deposit X amount in my bank account. I contacted my bank and they told me it was for something i sold in Mexico. How did this happen? I didnt know that i had an account (or whatever they call) in Mexico and Canada too.

I read something online about how to change the status from active to inactive but then there was this message:

Note: Any applicable monthly subscription fees will continue to be charged, even if the fees are due while your listings are inactive. If you don’t want to be charged a monthly subscription fee, you can choose to downgrade your account from a Professional selling plan to an Individual selling plan.

Is that right? Sometimes i feel like amazon wants you to fail and give up. just when you think you've got all figured out, Amazon throws you a curveball.

I dont know how amazon works on the old accounts but for me, a beginner, it feels like going to war everyday.

Thank you!

Mexico and Canada (and for some people, Brasil) are part of the Unified Americas Account. If you sign up for the US (.com) account, they are also included. The total fee for the pro plan is $39.99, regardless of how many of these you actually use. If you have listings in more than just the .com marketplace, the monthly fee is split among all the active marketplaces; but the total amount is still $39.99 (with slight variation due to exchange rates). So Mexico is not costing you extra; nor will your charge change if you put it on Vacation.

If you are FBA only, then there is not much need to worry about it. But if you ship your own items, be aware that international shipping can be expensive, and Amazon's basic charges for shipping (what the customer pays) may not be enough to cover it; so check that out if you do your own shipping.
