Billable Weight Glitch?

by Seller_QVQqWfopyOisS

Anybody noticing high inbound shipping costs? I’ve always used pretty common 22 x 22 x 21 size boxes. I’m trying to send in five boxes at 19LBs each. A total of 95 pounds going from New Hampshire to New Jersey and it’s saying my shipping is $105. Says the weight is 95 pounds, but my billable weight is 370. I’ve never seen anything like this in my FBA years. Anybody else?

Maybe you were lucky

Dimensional weight is LxWxH / 139

22x22x21 / 139 is 74 lbs x 5 = 370

Yeah, doesn’t dimensional weight refer to calculating fees on an individual product? Not on inbound shipment costs?

Finding it hard to believe I’ve just been lucky for six years and though my shipment comes out to 95 pounds, they can bill me for an imaginary 275 more. Really doesn’t seem correct.

@Chimanimani is correct, it is your dimensional weight for the volume of the box you are sending in. Think of it as shipping a box of feathers, or bubble wrap, you have to pay for the volume of space you are taking up on the truck instead of weight capacity.
