Is there an easy way to understand all selling costs in a month

I am trying to find an easy way to understand all of my selling costs in a month? I have been using the Transaction report and I put in the start and end dates of each month. Then open it in excel and I see what I sold. I thought this was all my expenses. For instance, placement fees are not in that report and clearly some other expenses are missing.

I sell FBA and FBM. My FBM sales are in the transaction report I believe and the expenses for them minus shipping is in it.

Is anyone willing to share how they easily capture all expense charged and collected by Amazon in a month?

Any help and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hi there and thank you for your post here on the seller forums. I'm confident some other sellers will pop in to share their experience with you here. If there is something specific you are looking to access, Seller Support should be able to help you out as well.

Hi @Seller_jWr3ffo2EGw8I,

Let me help you find all those fees! The Transaction report is a great start, but Amazon's fees are actually spread across several reports.

The Transaction report (help page) shows your basic fees like product sales, selling fees, and FBA fees. Under the "Date range reports" section, you'll see you can also get a Summary report that gives you a broader overview of all income and expenses.

For FBA-specific fees, check out the SKU Economics report (help page). This report is particularly helpful because it captures:

  • FBA fulfillment fees
  • Monthly storage fees (these are charged between the 7th-15th of each month)
  • Placement service fees
  • Long-term storage fees
  • Returns processing fees
  • Removal/disposal fees

One heads-up: The help page mentions that SKU Economics reports won't include FBA Placement service fees until May 1, 2024.

For a really detailed look at individual transaction fees, you might find the Fee Explainer helpful (help page). Just go to Payments > Transaction View, click any amount in the "Total" column, and then click the amounts under "Amazon fees" to see the complete breakdown.

Hope this helps you track down all those fees!

Best regards, Michael

They don't make it easy. IMHO it is on purpose.

just use 60% of your MSRP as your Amazon fees. That's what I came up with and it's accurate enough to use for pricing your product. Then deduct your COGS and you've got your CAC window.

In a simple answer - NO.

And as you see by CR's reply - the mods are worthless.
