Tariffs causing an issue for many sellers including me.
We raised our price 10% on an item today as a result of the tariffs and the price we are now paying. We no longer qualify for the featured offer as a result. Apparently this is an issue across the board right now.
Doesn't Amazon understand what is going on or are they running behind in updating their algorithms?

Amazon doesn't care if sellers make money.
In addition, with all the changes to the Tariff (on, off, on again but higher, higher yet, etc.) not everyone is paying the same prices or having the same cost issues.
Eventually, (give it a year or maybe 4) it will all level out to sellers having similar costs.
Currently there are factories 'offshore' telling their BEST customers that they will provide invoices with lower costs to help offset the increased tariffs. I'm sure a large number of sellers on Amazon (and other venues) have been more than willing to take them up on those offers.
I hope they all have good attorneys because CBP WILL be looking much more closely at those fake invoices and the penalties can be substantial for fraud.

Amazon does not believe in inflation. Even if you are the only seller of your product anywhere, and you raise prices on every platform simultaneously, Amazon will compare your today-price to your historical-price and say "too much."
This is just another facet of Amazon's stupidity that you will have to weather. Remember: the algos always know what's best, and Amazon is right to blindly trust them, regardless of whatever is going on in the real world. /s

Good News. I opened a support ticket and explained to Amazon the tariff situation that is affecting my product and late tonight ( 1.5 days later), they re-enabled the buy box.
So I would recommend that if anyone else is facing this issue, it is worth explaining to Amazon your situation.

We have found that if you do smaller price increases over several days this is less likely to happen. Amazon considers it "price gouging" if you just raise the price by 10% or more. That is something that has worked for us in the past, but no guarantee that it will work 100% of the time.

We raised more than 10% on some items and will do so on the rest next weeks. It is expected that every seller will raise when inventory run out.

Amazon does not care if you survive. Amazon does not care about me or my business. Amazon wants you to LOWER your prices despite the tariffs.
Amazon has no common sense or morality.

You think you have an issue now? October is supposed to tariff all inbound ships - except those built in the USA - so everyone is now impacted. I wonder if Bozo will use his sailboat to ferry goods over from China
